Mouse problems again.
You're in luck. Most of the Logitech mice support Macs out of the box - but to add special features, you have to download the Mac software for it from Logitech's web site.

The mac editionof CoH only officially recognizes 3 mouse buttons though. So to get around that you need to use the the logitech software to bind whatever button you want to use to a keyboard key (I tend to use F7-F12 for this purpose) and then bind that key in game to the command you want to use.
I own a Logitech G5 and have it attached to my iMac. Unfortunately, Logitech does *not* support the G5 on the Mac. The Logitech Control Software does not recognize the G5 plugged into a Mac. You can't map the other buttons at all.
Since you're a Logitech customer, would you be willing to write their support and ask what their position is on Mac support for mice? (they won't answer me since I don't own any of their mice)

Ah. Looks like Logitech doesn't support the G series mice on platforms other than Windows. They're considered "gaming" mice. Every other logitch mouse has great OS X support.
So I'm not sure what to tell you at this point...
That doesn't quite make sense, since they do have software for the G series keyboards that works quite nicely. If possible, I'd like to know if it's: a) a policy with only mice, b) maybe the mouse is too new and will eventually get Mac software, or c) if Logitech has changed its policy on Mac support.

The G5 is quite old actually. Looks like it's always been that way for it.
EDIT: See Logitech's site. None of the "Gaming Grade" mice have OS X support whereas every other mouse does.
Proof
I think the issue is those mice allow you to switch DPI on the fly. That might be one of the features logitech doesn't want to be forced to make work on OS X where it will be pretty much useless to a majority of the audience there.
EDIT #2: Then I just noticed the MX1100 which has DPI switching and OS X support. So maybe they just don't feel like it. or that particular feature doesn't work on OS X. I don't have a MX1100 so I can't try.
Basically what I did is downloaded Steermouse and used it's settings and it worked fine after that. Thanks for all your suggestions :-)
The Logitech web site lists plenty of mice with Mac support. I even own one of them, a VX Revolution. I use the VXR with my MacBook Pro. For home use if you want something bigger maybe try the MX Revolution. The Mac software supports button remapping. However, I have not personally used that feature. I only use the left and right mouse buttons and the scroll wheel in CoH.
I have I think it's called a logitech G5 from when I had my PC and I still use it now that I have my mac and was wondering if there was a way to bind my extra mice buttons in CoH to say moving backwards for example instead of using the down arrow. I need the mouse button four bound to this and am not sure if there is a bind command I can type or what but any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
