blue to red transfer

sorry to post such a noob question - do you simply use the market to do a blue to red influence/infamy transfer? I keep reading all these posts where people are asking to log in simultaneously which leads me to believe there's more involved than the server to server transfers I've done only on the blue side.

The markets are not shared blue to redside.

(Edit for clarification) - Typically, the only way you can transfer blue to redside is to give someone on one side some amount of INF, log out of that side, log in on the other and hope they actually show up to give the same amount back on the other side.
