Suggestion: Custom miniatures

Well, with all of the $10 packs the NCSoft store sells now, here's another idea.

Get a deal with some plastics company. Then offer to let people order a copy of their character in miniature for $xx. They could be 3 inches high or so, and modelled after the costume you select. You could just click on the character in the character select screen, and click "order miniature" and a miniature version of your character would be made up and mailed to you.

If it was affordable enough, I'm sure many people would get one.

This has been suggested many times before (along with action figures, statues, etc). Due to the time it would take to hand craft it, the figure would cost easily into the hundreds of dollars. However, there is a new prototype machine which can take the in game character model and "print" a 3D version of it. It would be much more feasible to do it this way. It still involves some hand work, but it would be a lot less than making them out of plastic. A company called Figure Prints can do them (currently, they just produce WoW figures). The feedback on the figures are the colors aren't as bright as they should be and the finished figure looks as if it has powder on them. But it would be nice if NCSoft could work out a deal with this company or one like it. I would order everyone of my alts. I would go broke fast!

Nice. They even have a company already out there they can talk to.

Do it!

Spore, I believe, also does the same for creatures. Same 'printer' process and everything.

It's ever found to be feasible and affordable, I'm all for it.
