IO and SO question

I have a level 50 stalker and like to pvp with it in sirens. My level 50 SO's wont work on it right? I have two set builds: 1 for RV and 1 for bloody & sirens. I have all level 25 IO's for it. Do they work in Sirens? Someone told me that only SOs work.

Puzzled!

how it works is your SO's or generic IO's will scale down to the level of the zone, ie sirens =30.

now set IO's will scale down as well but where the tricky part is that set bonuses aside from those from the Purple (superior) IO's do not carry over when your exempted past 3 levels of the IO, thus being for sirens call only set IO's in the range of lvl 10-33 will grant set bonuses in siren's with the exception of the purple IO's.

Hopefully this clarifies your question.

Also IIRC pvp IOs work at all levels too?

So initially, I can use level 50 SO's in there, they would just be scaled down?

How do I tell if I have purple IOs?

The names are bright bright bright Green and purples drive windowless white vans...

No the names of the purple recipes are purple, they're the recipes that cost you your liver if ur trying to buy 1

A purple recipe is basically what it sounds like. On the recipe selection pop up its the one thats purple. Ultra rare recipes that atm are selling for 50+ min for the basic ones, only one of each can be slotted per character. However their stats/set bonuses are much higher than any normal recipe.

Just remember though that they can only drop from level 47+ non AE mobs [minions +].

To see what set bonuses stay with you when you exemp down, you could always flashback to a level range and check the real numbers ingame.
