This may be a dumb question, but are you actively playing? If I remember correctly, there is no progression unless you are actively playing. That way people can't just sk someone then leave their computer on overnight and earn the SG badge.
Also meant to say; send a bug report in-game. I know there are a couple personal badges that are bugged and don't show progression even though you are actually earning them.

You can if you have one toon taking damage and the other auto-healing them...

One of the requirements that I found, was that the mentoring character needs to be doing something that affects more than just themselves. Namely, you can't just turn on your shields or Healing Flames, for instance, and stand there.
I was doing some SK'ing with my Brute and my alt account (this was a good long while ago) and while they weren't doing anything, no progress would accumulate. However, once I put Burn on autofire, progress started accumulating. This was one the first few Mentoring badges, so there was not really a chance of it not ticking over in the first place. Ergo, in my limited experience, you need to be doing something that affects more than yourself. I didn't do any extensive testing, such as whether Blazing Aura would do, or healing the sidekickee, or with other characters.
Hi all. Just as the subject says. I've sk'd a memeber of my new sg to me today and the progress bar nor any recognition that we are working towards the bar is coming up under the super group badges. All the other badges the group is progressing towards is showing up, but not the SK one. And, yes, we are both in SG mode.
