MA/Regen

Hey, everyone! So, my MA/Regen is my first attempt at playing a Scrapper and I'm having some concerns as to what sets to slot for when she hits 50, she's almost 41 at the moment. Any advice, or even a sample build would be greatly appreciated. I was debating on trying to get as close to soft-capped melee defense as possible and slotting for +Recharge. As stated previously, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would focus on slotting for recharge, then defense, and then regeneration in those orders, but it is personal preference.

Get ya a hecatomb set for Storm Kick, as its your highest dps attack, and the pro will fire more in that you'll be using it the most often, and the bonuses from that set suit the power really well.

Touch of Death sets are good for the melee bonuses.

Crushing impact has recharge bonuses and some other good bonuses as well for attacks, and its fairly cheap if i remember right

Scirroco has a nice regen bonus as well as acc and aoe def

Numina and regen tissue uniques help regen.

Efficacy adaptors would be good for both QR and Stamina for regen and recharge bonuses, and is IMO one of the best sets for scrappers in that it boosts recovery, health, damage, recharge, and regen, and you can have two sets being /regen.

5 piece Doctored Wounds for Instant Healing, Reconstruction, and Dull Pain (Integration is a great spot for it too, but it's not requisite). 6 piece Touch of Death and Mako's 6 piece sets for your normal attacks (Crippling Axe Kick and Crane Kick). 5 piece Hecatomb in your most recharge intensive attack (Storm Kick). 6 piece Obliteration for any PbAoEs you take. Make sure to put the Steadfast 3% +def in Resilience and get as many LotG 7.5% +rech IOs as possible.

Here's a simple build. I'm not a huge fan myself of Obliteration or ToD, since I feel they are overkill on damage and light on end/recharge. I like to focus on S/L defense and the enhancements for the attacks are much better rounded I feel.

S/L defense will give regen a lot of breathing room to heal up. This build gets you to just under 32% defense for each.

The build also has a modest amount of recharge (25%) and decent accuracy. Just one of many very different ways to make regen shine - there is really no one way to do it. Enjoy your scrapper!
