Oraboras TF's and me, requests for advice

I'm thinking of 'pimping out' my crab to run the Oraboras TF's solo. Mostly because no one ever seems to run them with teams. To do so, I've come to the conclusion that soft capped (or near soft capped) defense is almost required. I don't really want to dip into pool powers too much (too many enticing crab powers), but will if I have to. Also not sure if pets would play a big roll in running them. Any advice on what sets and powers I should try for to do this? Oh, and I'm not getting a travel power. Gonna use slotted swift/sprint/mental training.

My advice-

You want to keep the enemies at ranged. Crabs have ranged attacks and dominate from there, so it makes sense to focus on getting your ranged and Aoe defense softcapped.

Take Wide area web gernade. If you can keep them Immobilized and away from you, then it keeps them shooting at ranged.


6 slotted Thunderstrike gives you a 3.75% ranged boost, so slot those into your single target attacks. Slot TT:M with Red fortune for the extra 2.5% ranged. Aim slotted with Guassians for the 2.5%.

Maybe consider Combat jumping for the extra defense boost.

Looking at the build in mids... Eyeah... I can see endurance being a huge problem in medium to long fights. End drain is coming out to be .98/1.72% endurance per second. In order to alleviate the endurance issues, the fighting pool toggles would have to be shut off, thus negating the melee/aoe defense and 20 points of smash/lethal resistance.

How well does such a build hold up during EB fights then?

Was working looking over the build again, and thought I might also look at an alternitive. Since my second build is strait wolf spider, here's what I came up with. It's probably not as good as it could be, but then I'm not an expert at twinking with IO's.
