In short, yes, mag lasts as long as the duration.
It's more like a hold for x seconds at a set magnitude the whole time.

Quick question as i'm trying to better understand Mag and stacking holds. Does the Mag' last as long as the hold duration or does the mag have a limited life of its own in-which you can stack it?
