I always suggest Storm. It's great!
I've got a Storm/Dark, Storm/Sonic, Fire/Storm, Earth/Storm, and several other Storm characters. It's great, if you can get past the learning curve.
Also a note, people (or yourself) may get confused with the sets X/X in corruptor or defender format. Not that it really bugs me, but when you're talking about a Sonic/Dark/Rad, confusion will ensue. TA, etc. won't be as bad, but we may be posting our suggestions as (De)Buff/Blast instead of Blast/(De)Buff.

Spine/Regen Scrapper
Dark Defender is growing or try Emp/Rad
Fire/Kin Controller or try Illusion/Rad (i think Ice/Storm is way cooler (pun))
Energy Blaster (Blapper) (i prefer Assault/Device)
This is according to my observation of the most seen walking through atlas and having them on my teams.
My advice is to try different ones until you find what works for you.
I hate my stone tank (endurance hog) but like Invulnerable/Super Strength, that is just me, but then again i prefer Emps and Dark Defender (my all time fav) as opposed to tanks and scrappers.
So after playing my first scrapper 3 and a half years ago I quickly moved on to The Rogue Isles, I levels 2 villains to 50, a Mind/Psi Dom and Sonic/Dark Corr.
I think I'm ready to go to Paragon again for a short time, What should I try?
I was looking at Rad/TA or Arch/, I am not ure what do you guys suggest?
