You don't really - It's all rounded away before we get to look at it.
3.5 - 4.4999 is all 4 when shown
The author gets X Tickets per awarded star for each person rating it, to gain hall of fame you have to have a rating of 5 (that's 4.5+) and 999+ rated plays, and enough votes the other way and HoF is lost again (you don't lose the bonus arc awarded if already used, but you'll be unable to edit anything till one mission hits HoF again)
DC are chosen by the developers at hand and becomes locked for editing (and start giving normal awards in stead of tickets), but here the bonus arc becomes permanent.
I belive that's it for rewards.
Playing an arc with HoF (and now DC too) gives a badge, can't recall if there is still a badge for getting you arc into that status.

Issue 15 deleted the HoF and DC badges I think.
I would love to know the exact ratings of my arcs. I'd love to know the exact ratings of arcs I want to play and be able to sort on it.
For one thing - it would cusion the blow when you see your arc go from 5 to 4 stars. If you see your score slowly drop from 5.0 to 4.8 to 4.5 you are prepared when it finally looses that last 1/10th of a point and drops to 4 stars.
Of course, when searching I'd like to know number of votes in each category and sort on that too... sort by number of 5-star votes, sort by number of 5 & 4 star votes combined, etc.
There is a lot of reference to an arc's rating being part of the factor in awards and recognition, however I haven't found a way of determining what the exact rating is. For example, it shows four stars, but it's really 4.25. How do we find that out.
