So what's the math behind the diminishing returns? Defense and Resistance keeps dropping constantly while in PvP zones? So ... does this mean you should only fire up toggles AFTER combat begins? I just want to know how resists and defenses are calculated so I can maximize my slotting.
Unfortunately there really is no way to maximize the more you have the more it hurts
All your attributes - defense, resistance, recharge, +HP, +damage, everything - is subject to diminishing returns. Basically at any given time, the game tallies up your totals for your attributes and then applies the diminishing returns curve to them. They don't decay over time, but adding more and more of the same thing becomes less effective over time.

lol, seriously, how many threads is it gonna take on these boards for the devs to realize how unfriendly this new system is. I think I have seen 4 since I came back--a week and a half ago.

RIP PX, GMW, and the game that used to be fun.
Still playing for reasons unknown.
I relate it to ED. Of course it's not the same, but just like for ED, DR will start hitting your stats really hard.
So I made a new brute for PvP and I thought it would be fun to max out my resistances. How ever when I went into Recluse's Victory, I was very confused with my amount of resistance. See Screenshot. PVP Resists
I have multiple questions:
1. What is the resistance cap in PvP?
2. How come my numbers don't add up?
