i'm lookin to find my old friend i know he still plays but on a new toon. i have his old toons on my friends list but dont know the new one. is there a way to track the old toons supergroups to see if he added them into the same one? i can ask around at that point

Type /get_global_name CHARACTERNAME (where CHARACTERNAME is the, well, character's name that you remember) and that should give you his global chat handle.
You can then send him a global tell, even if he's offline, and see if he responds.
