I thought that was where we had the parties on Thursday nights. Did we forget to invite Cobalt again?

As for doing it again, I spoke to a few of the team leaders who stepped up for the second raid about leading on a more regular basis. I think everyone did a great job for being thrown into some of these positions, however more extensive preparation and experience always helps. I'm willing to speak to whoever is interested in occupying a lead position and discuss with them any tips our usual leaders have picked up since we started the raids last fall. Hopefully, if enough people are willing, we may be able to have two raids happening on a more regular basis.

I'm willing to help anyone with the bubbling position ( the hardest part is to always know where everyone is: Targeter, range teams, making sure no one is too close the the Hami tanks.. etc)
I was thinking, since we seem to have a decent amount of interest in the blue side hami, We could try doing it on 2 different days ( if people are available of course). this would allow people who are taken on sunday nights to do a hami raid on a different night and still enjoy it . and the fact that it takes roughtly 1h to do should allow people to get back to what they were doing or go to bed cause of work
I would love to learn and help lead a team!

I miss out on the hami raids because I have a static team on sundays. Granted we shrunk down, I still put that 1st. I would like to get some time running a hami and even stepping up to lean the leader ship side.

Nothing saids its your spot like an ourob. Portal dropped on the ground.
Its really pretty easy. Just realize that you will screw up at some point, and it will get ugly. Call a regroup and dont do what you just did again.
Raid Main leader calls the buffs and start.
Hami Taunt sets the taunt order.
Yellow Taunt assigns yellows.
Yellow Assault targets the yellow.
Ranged assault targets the blues and greens.
IMHO, Ranged Assault leader has the hardest job keeping the right target as the yellow team moves along. The taunt teams and raid leader really do most of thier work before theattack wave starts. They only really have to get active if things start to unwind.
Be brave and step up to lead, the worst you can do is have 49 people pissed at you for causing the wipe. Pre-i9 that could be twice as many =).

Thanks for giving me the green light to lead the taunt team! And thanks to my team for putting up with my glitchy chat bar (not all things on a Mac are better) and sometimes confused state. I would love to run Hami taunt teams if there is ever a need!

Eh, that's debateable. It's not that hard. I'm no gift to the raid, and anyone could do it

I was set to target for the second hami raid but was told I was not experienced enough (which is not entirely true). I would have pressed the issue harder but I like Cobalt, and didn't mind him taking over. I would ask that in the future a little more courtesy is used in asking folks to step down from leadership positions that they have ponied up to do. I didn't appreciate the way I was fired.

Ive been involved with a few things that you've lead cobalt and you do an amazing job at communicating clearly and being concise. You pay attention to all aspects of the task at hand and in your unique "cobalt way" you keep people on track and accountable and arent afraid to call anyone out for being lazy.

I can only speak for myself, but if I was asked to step down from a position for a more experienced person, for the sake of forty-nine other people, I wouldn't be butt-hurt over it.

Like everyone has already stated, your work for the server does not go unappreciated by most of us. We know you know your stuff and so does Amy. In short you guys rock!
BUT
I know where this person is coming from. The second raid at first kind of felt like a bunch of us "Ancillary Characters" were getting a chance to shine as second raid started to form. Would we have succeeded without you two? I don't know. But it would have been exciting to see what this "B team" could have done.
I was fortunate to keep my position as hami taunt leader, but if I would have been bounced, yeah, it would have hurt a little considering I was the second person in on this second raid along with Solarina.
I guess what I am saying is not all of us get credit for being good players and smart people. An alternate or training raid would be a good place to let new faces shine and for some of us that was the second raid last night.

Feel free to step up to the plate at the normally scheduled Raid. One o' the only reasons the leaders are consistently the same is because no one else wants to do it. Only until recently, and I mean this weekend, have people actually shown potential and interest in bein' in a leadership capacity at the Raid. So c'mon down and show us all what you can do. We'd be more than willin' to bring you on.

Eh, disregard what I said. Not even my Raid. This is Amy's shindig. I only felt obligated to respond since I was designated as targetter for the second Raid after the change in leadership.

Ok , first of all, Hello to all of you, I am the (Mad perhalps??) genius behind both stormwrek and solarina, Glifty, his sheep ect.ect...I would like to send out a BIG thank you to all who had the patience to tough out the second raid and and also to all that came from the first raid to help out!!! .I just got done reading thease last 5 pages( 5 pages for a raid, man we did good lol ) and i want to clear the air about some things.I passed leadership to amiee and cobalt cause as i thought we were doing well at getting a second raid together, i didnt think +the whole running it part through. And also i didnt know the people we had at the time so i was a little lost in the confusion a bit in getting teams formed.I was not intending any insult to anyone when i passed leadership to them, i just know they mainly run it alot and thought id deffer to more experienced people. If there is any sort of blame for this, it is mine.I do agree that if we get enough people we should have 2 raids more often and in that as Amiee said earlier , people should step up and try it out.i apologize to all who felt like they were " fired" as i wasnt aware they had experience. If this does not suit you find me next raid and chew me out. as the famous pirate Jack sparow finley quoted" I probably deserved that."

Again, I didn't lead this raid. It was Amy. Leadership wasn't passed to me in any way. I just shoot stuff. Or tell people to shoot stuff.
Edit: I can't seem to say this enough.

I'd just like to say a few things to clear up any misconceptions.
First off, when I arrived at the second raid, I checked in with a few people as to what was going on. Teams had been formed and I checked in with Solarina (@Stormwrek), who then gave me the go ahead to lead the raid. I kept all of the team leads in place that had already been established, except for Athena, who I apologize to for perhaps not handling the situation as graciously as I could have. Athena, I understand you've had experience targeting past raids. Unfortunately, i9 raids are completely different than the old ones, and therefore so is the targeter's job. Especially during the yellow phase, targeting the wrong mito can cause the raid to wipe, costing us time and EoEs. Because of this, and because of the fact we were starting late on a Sunday night, I felt it better to put in someone with experience such that we could get the raid done and not keep people up late before work on Monday. It was a decision not intended to offend you, but simply done in the interest of time.
Secondly, I'd like to state something very clearly. We have been leading raids on a weekly basis since the fall '08. There has not been a single time where anyone has approached me about taking on a lead position. I have stated several times that if anyone was interested, please let me know. I certainly do not want people to feel like 'ancillary' members of the raid. Quite the contrary. When I started leading the raids, it was my goal to try to get as many people able to lead the teams as possible such that it would be easy for people to pick up and raid. However, if you do not express interest, I have no way of knowing who is willing to help out.
With those things in mind, anyone who would like to lead teams, just let me know. Or if another group of people would like to step up and try to lead raids on Sundays, I have no problem alternating with them. It simply comes down to communicating to me what your intentions are, and I'll try my best to be accomodating.
