I have a basic levelling guide but that may not tell you what you're looking for.

Neither Willpower nor Stone Melee have easy options for exotic slotting, unfortunately, unlike, say, Dark Melee.

I generally look for +hp, +regen, +recharge, and +accuracy bonuses for sets; getting a lot of mileage out of defense bonuses tends to steal slots away from powers that are more fun to slot.

strength of will - recharges reductions have no effect.

I just pop in any extra IO's/sets I want -
3% res/def IO, extra psi resist IO, or any resistance set for bonuses (aegis can help you cap fire/ice defense).

IO wise, I just leave the basic slot with a resistance and call it a day.

It is a freebie power to slot (or drop if you want). Handy for alphas, esp at lower levels.

50 Tanks: Invul/ss, Fire/ice/fire, Ice/em, Stone/fire
WP/Stone, dark/dark, shld/mace

50 Other: WS, SS/dark/sc brute, BS/Regen/WM scrpr, fire/fire/force blaster, rad/kin corr, mind/rad ctrl, ill/storm cntrl

Stone Melee (the cheap way) - You are going to want Crushing Impacts in all your melee attacks and probably frankenslot Tremor.

WP - Luck of the Gambler for your Defense sets. Most likely Impervium or Titanium Coating for Resist sets. Lots of Numinas (not the rare) for your heal/regen/health abilities.

Throw an extra slot into Stamina and Quick Recovery and put Performance Shifter: chance for end in those (pretty much kills off any need for more endurance at a cheap price tag).

SoW I slotted with 3 Resist Damage SOs.

Note: Others might have more elegant forms of slotting ... this is just how I slotted mine and it works well for me.

Plan to take Tough and Weave. I suggest Combat Jumping as well (SJ as your travel power). Fault (this is for Sarrate) is a good ability with this combo if you don't mind shoe horning it in (I personally don't find that I need it, but you may feel otherwise ... try it out in a second build (also depends what your playstyle is (solo, group, TFs, farms, PvP, etc ...))).

I also highly suggest Hasten.

Hope that helped.

SoW is a good place to pop the Steadfast Protection Res/Def unique IO. I tend to find that once Tough and Weave are in play, SoW tends to be almost forgotten, so I usually don't slot it up for resistance all that much myself. The extra +3% across the board defense in that IO is working for you full time whether SoW is active or not.

It's a great combo: good control in fault, oompfh feel and very resilient. IOs make it of course better (HP cap, great regeneration, layered defenses)

Strength of will is a nice emergency power, more useful when you're not IO'ed out in my opinion.
