If you're going to use it for PvP, I'd go with Thermal over Kinetics. Yes, it only has 3 powers that you can use by yourself in PvP - but they're more effective and useful than the ones that Kinetics has available in that environment.
As for advice on the specific build, I don't have much - the PvP section may be able to help you better.

Thanks for the advice. Altho now I'm thinking of going for rad over dark for a primary, as I hear from credible sources that dark sucks at pvp lolz.

Electric Blast does fairly well in PvP, also.
Electric/Thermal is one of the FotM builds currently.

Yeah I keep hearing chatter of elec as I continue to search. I just don't really like the concept/animations, but I guess that doesn't have much of a place in PvP now, does it?
Elec/Thermal sucks out Endurance and kills resistance. Very useful in the new PvP.
Personally, I play a Dark/Ninjutsu Stalker in PvP. I do well enough, and I'm thinking about having a /kin buddy of mine camp behind the drones and load me with Inertial Reduction and Speed Boost, if those movement powers are unrestricted.

Thanks yeah I went ahead and roll ed the elec/thermal toon. It's pretty fun so far i'd have to say, altho i like the animations in Rad blast and dark blast better.
So I plan on rolling a Dark/(Thermal or kinetic) corruptor and I could use some advice. From a theme and appearance standpoint I'd like to go thermal, and it looks good, but I know kinetics is the ultimate FoTM and I'd like to get to 50 fast. The idea is primarily to PvP on this toon. Also I'd considered fire as a primary, but only if it is superior in PVP to dark which it doesn't appear to be. Anyways, any ideas/advice, as always, is greatly appreciated.
