Okay.
Go to an invention station and pull up an invention you want to craft.
Look at the bottom of the window. Click the little radio button - says something like apply coupon or something.
Then craft.
You get the discount!
Hurrah!

I have a few of these from the day job, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to actually use them. I've tried just crafting to see if they are automatically used, I've tried clicking on them, nothing. How do I use them?
