Can't see health in its bar

My problem is that my health, endurance, and even experience are all clear within the bar. I can, however, tell where they are when they pulse, the tip lights up. While on a team everybody's health is black as well. The only time I can actually see them is if I can look over your head. Even the top left corner is black. Also, any slider (character creation and in game) can't be seen. Maps are all clear of the round buttons you can click. One time while playing I did see the green arrow that marks your own position, but was only time. The only other thing I can think of is the borders around windows are gone, sometimes making it really hard to find the close button since I can't see, but know where it should be. It's been a few years since I've played so I got all of the files from a laptop with XP and installed them on this vista desktop. It took me forever to get past downloading manifest then went on to fixing files. From what I noticed it looked like it went through all of them, took me a little over a week for that (dial-up yippee!!) Finally, got it all and now this. Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't wanna be a healer Oh, and I have been running in safe mode for less lag on already slow internet Any help would be much appreciated. Ok so here's CoH helper and HiJack This.

With integrated graphics you're not going to get great results no matter what. Also you have 2 Gbs of memory.

It looks like those are the newest Intel video drivers.

If you can spend a little bit of money, get yourself an actual video card, I'm thinking something like this. I don't know the specs on your power supply, this is a mid range card with relatively low power requirements so I think it will work. You might want to contact HP Support for info on your PS (or crack the case yourself and look).

Hopefully you'll hear from someone else with more advice soon™.

And BTW, have you tried verifying files (button on the updater UI)?

Also try to disable as much extraneous crap as you can using msconfig (I see that you are using it already, I just don't know how aggressively).

This is what I planned on saying before the upgrade stuff, I just got distracted.

Hello, email worm, O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Runonce] C:\Windows\system32\runouce.exe.

Although, I wouldn't go through the bother of trying to weed it out. Save your data. Make sure you have an Windows install CD. Format the hard drive. Reinstall Windows and programs and data, and as you do so, keep running HijackThis and watch which programs are aggressively adding themselves to your start up directories and stop the ones that shouldn't be. See here to understand the HijackThis report.

I have run the verify files several times. All checks out well. I knew that there was some problems with my on-board graphics card just wasn't sure of one that would work well. Thanks Eislor for that link to the card, will try to get that soon. And thanks Zombie for the heads up on the worm and the link so I can tell what HiJackThis is tellin me. Hopefully a better card is all that I need so I can finally get back to the city. I'll post back here when I get one.
