Keeping NPCs Down

Is there any way to make a found ally or rescued captive stay down? I've found animations that make them simulate unconsciousness, but once the rescue is over, they always stand up. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing's worked (obviously), so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks in advance.

The closest I've found is to use an ally, set them to Unconscious, set their rescued animation to "kneeling" so it looks like they're trying to stand up, and set their stranded animation to unconscious, so once you leave they fall down again. You have to set them to "Non-combat" and "do nothing," and they will still stand up sometimes and people will wonder why they're not helping.

Use unconscious/kneeling too (or xxxx/waiting for someone you 'apprehend' - gives a great "you got me but I'm annoyed about it" look)

Yup... 'rescue' missions need a 'Stay in rescued animation and don't zoom off at 300 MpH' checkbox.

Me - I just hope people hit Exit mission before they get out of kneeling for now.
