First Blaster (NRG/Elec)
You must use dam SOs in your attacks. 2 acc, 3 dam, 1 rech (or 1 end if you find yourself lacking some end recovery). Damage is what your blaster is and gonna be good at
You could use more recharge in Build up and Aim.
Nova should be slotted with damage too as your main attacks : 1 acc, 3 dam, 2 rech for this one. No need end reduction here as it drains all of your endurance when used.
Powerpush is awesome for an Energy/ blaster, I'd get this one instead of the snipe.
I'd take also Elec mastery instead of Force for another hold. You can stack it with Shocking Grasp to hold bosses.
Those put together, your damage, mitigation and solo force will be much higher.

The problem I'm running into is the slots. I already know one mistake was dropping extra slots into PFF. I'll look into Elec Mastery; I originally went with Force for thematic reasons (Energy styled), but I'll take a good look into it.

This. You know how much damage you do with Build Up? When you put three SO's of damage in each attack, that's how much damage you do WITHOUT Build Up.
I think you're about to be very pleasantly surprised by what your Blaster can do.

So Dmg 3x, Acc 2x, and End 1x would be better for slotting? I try to focus on keeping End for those long fights when Blues are all gone or have been made into Wakies. xD

Okay, so I'm finally about to get my first level 50 Hero and I am happy that its a Blaster; its been a really fun ride getting this far. Currently it sits at level 49 and nearing level completion. I've already tweaked the build twice to try different things (i.e. Power Push vs Shocking Grasp), but I'm still not entirely sure I'm getting the most I possibly can. I am horribly Mids ignorant, so please forgive my ungodly method of showing my build. As of now all enhancements are standard SO's and slowly turning into regular IO's. Right now I'm mostly concerned about slot arrangement to maximize future potential for sets, though no guarantee that I'll be doing that again. So, what mistakes have I made in just picking what has how many slots and what goes in those slots?
