The Holy Grail of Claws.

I was looking at my new Fire/SR brute's build thinking, "Man, he's got a lot of good stuff going on there! Look at all that native recharge without Hasten!"

So that led down the path to Excelerate. Wondering how close I could get him to FU>F>S.

I didn't quite make it but it's pretty good. I thought I would share and let the numbers folks have a crack at the build if they're interested.

The goal was NOT just to be able to run the attack chain. All other normal AV soloing needs apply as well. Healing ability (in this case just regen, *winks @BillZ), endurance management, etc.

So here's the build with a question.

I calculate the gap at .116 seconds. Is that gonna matter?

With that chain, I think you'd be better off switching the Dam/Rech for Damage in both Slash and Focus.

I'd change the Miracle Heal/End for a Numina Heal/End - the third set bonus is the same, but Numina goes up to 50 and gives more health. Every % you can grab is important without Aid Self.

Other random thoughts I don't feel like doing the math for :

Is the BU Proc better than a damage proc with that build, seeing as you're going to have FU stacked so much and damage bonuses from Red Fortunes, Apocalypse ?

What's the better choice between 4 impervium and one additional slot in CP, for end management ? Dropping CP downtime from 90s to 70s seems big to me (and it'd allow for +1.5% HP with 3 Titanium Coating in Tough).

As for Stamina, another slotting option would be 3 perf shifter and 2 efficacy adaptor for an additional +1.12% hp, losing +2.5% dam and +2.5% recovery.

Looks like between Focus and Shockwave, you could keep ~80 ranged DPS while kiting for regen... Interesting.

Hi Nihilii,

I really hadn't looked at much other than the recharge to get to where the chain would run. Many good points to consider. Paricularly the ones about dropping the additional recharge from Slash and Focus. I'll play with the build more seriously this week I think.

No, it's not going to matter. Best I got using my DPS template build was a one tick gap as well, and I'm still very suspicious it's the best chain Claws can get.

However, I'd put the Hecatomb set in Follow Up and finish it off with a Mako's acc/dam/end/rech. It's slightly better accuracy, damage, endurance AND recharge. Then put the Crushing Impacts in Slash. Better accuracy, damage and endurance, and it doesn't need the lost recharge.

I'm gonna assume money is not an issue, and use a Gladiator's Armor in this to soft-cap everything except ranged, which is at 44.97%. That's what the second slot in Tough is. I'm also gonna assume that 21.1 hp/second is enough regen, .07 end/second is an acceptable rate of endurance expenditure when chaining, and 191 dps before factoring an Achilles' Heel proc in Slash is sufficient killing power - given that yours has 190, I feel that last one is a safe assumption. So, given those assumptions, here. Should be gapless, if my math's right.
