Open the Console (Applications > Utilities > Console) and watch what kind of errors appear from the time you launch CoH until it crashes.
Make sure you're running CoH with a user account that isn't "limited".
Also contact Customer Support, as they have a procedure for resetting the cache you can follow.

I download the .dmg and put the .app in my applications folder, but it won't launch. It *looks* like it does but crashes.
