Corrupted profile fix?
Put the CohUpdater.exe temporarily in a different folder and thumbnail from there. I believe it's trying to update the updater at the same time you're running it.

Nice big brain ya got there, Vir. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the tip. I promise to look the other way if I see you in Bloody Bay. :P

Hey all. First time I've had a major problem, so I'm forced to step out of my lurker shadows. Hope this is the right place and you guys can give me a hand.
I'm using Windows Vista, and a few days ago, after an unexpected power outage, I try to log on and find my user profile has been corrupted. After much swearing, gnashing of teeth and cursing microsoft, I was finally able to create a new profile and start over. However, trying to play city of heroes, when the updater starts a small window pops up indicating "Coh will be installed to <path> Select NO to choose a different folder." Looking at that path, all my files are already there, including a folder with my username and all. Again with the swearing, gnashing and cursing. After trying numerous things, I decided to give it a go and just see if it could reinstall, so answering yes to the previous window, I get this one "Error opening <path>/updater.exe You may be out of disk space or you may be trying to install to a location where you have insufficient permissions."
The new profile is an adminstrator (UAC is OFF, if that matters). Checking permissions, the administrator group has full control. And, double checking, the user profile is a part of that group.
Anyone have any clues on how to fix this?
