Interesting sidenote: A player like myself, who has been playing for 58 months (per the vet rewards system) and who has been in exactly 1 TF during that entire period...if someone were to assure me that the thing autoexemped, I would believe them. I've no reason not to, after all--why disbelieve the person who claims to have done this before? I've never done it, so how am I to know?

Not sure what my purpose was here. Just wanted to put that out there, I guess. Not all players are stupid; some are merely ignorant. I simply happen to generally loathe TFs. *shrug*

I have no problem with someone who's honestly ignorant no matter how long they've played. But let's say you'd led with "I've been here 58 months and I know how things work" based on something you'd heard once in chat three years ago and insisted you were right because you're you. That's the people that threads like this get made about. And there are plenty of PL'd n00blets that tend to adopt just such an attitude. I'm seeing it often now with the mewbs. At least it makes them easy to spot.

Potential Mewb Experience:

During a lvl 20-30 Task Force, a Lvl 40+ Peacebringer left about 2/3rd through, because he wasn't getting xp, and needed to get to level 50 for PvP. No Vet badges.

Later that day, I was on a different character, and I found him by Agent Six, the Natural Store, in Founder's Falls. He was standing by Agent Six long enough that I figured he wasn't just dumping stuff.

I send a tell, guessing his intentions: "If you are looking for 45 SOs, you can find them at the stores in the Rikti War Zone, Cimerora, or Peregrine Island."

His response, "Can you get xp there?"

My answer, "Yes."

I've never PvP'ed much, but I forecast nerdrage when this guy tries it.
