That's how I felt: very underwhelmed.
I'm only still around for the friends at this point, oh and also trying to do crazy things with my scrappers.

Yeah I was on long enough to run the new hero TF with a PUG group...really disappointing TF IMO. Will try to run the villain SF tonight if anyone wants to run it with me tonight. Should be on around 8pm EDT.

No thanks HH. WoW is too much like workin a 2nd job after certain lvls. Did that with EQ and not looking to doing it again any time soon.
Just a reminder - this is "closed" beta. Chances are the final-form TFs will be cleaned up and much better presented (at the least). What with Triumph being pretty close to a forum cartel server, you guys' opinions probably carry a (little) bit of weight with the devs. I completely understand wanting to pass on content as unpolished (and small) as this issue looks like it's going to be, but if y'all do it will likely impair QoL for newer folks like me if we stick with the game.
Also, for the record, I am downright amazed that Imeco has the patience for WoW, since I agree completely with fallenz that it's an awful lot of work for the fun you get out of it after max level.
They just haven't gotten to that point yet :-p

Actually Imeco is 80 and I am 55.....its all about who you play with 
If you play with sexy tractors....u have a sexy time! Trust me, when you play alone, or with a guild that takes the game as srsbsns...its not fun. But if you play with people who you not only like, but can laugh at the stupid <censored> you do, it becomes a different game. Just ask Bounce...since I stolez him now and we are still working on Infy, i just need moar bribez.
Also, knowing what happens in closed beta....this isn't going to change much. They test it with family and such in a "closed closed" beta. This beta is to work out the bugs, like the temp power not working. But it is still going to be the same *patch* and not issue.

Agreed. I played it off and on from launch, including about 8 months of srsbusiness raiding during and around the launch of Ahn'Qiraj, until I took up CoH last August. Sooner or later, in my experience, it's not fun even with your friends. I have a number of RL buddies still playing it; they try to seduce me back with tales of Heroic Throw and Explosive Shot and all that. I'm not buying it.

the only one that has my interest is the KoTOR MMO that is coming out most the other MMOs look crappy imo, and I am overly sick of WoW, and loosing my SO over it is not a good idea either.
Back when I played WoW... I remember pwning the crap out of everything that wasn't +10 to me. Then I somehow died in an elevator. Never lived that one down

You could not pay me to play WoW ever again. Tried it, hated it, deleted it off the computer. I gave LoTRO a try as well (Foley talked me into it), but that is just WoW with Hobbits.
I saw and tried Champions at the NYCC and wasn't at all impressed by it. If ever I am to leave CoX it will be for DCUO only because I want to have Wonder Woman as a patron 
Yes, i15 is going to be lackluster, but the game is still fun for me so I'll be here until the servers get shut off. I have a feeling that the Going Rogue expansion is going to make up for it.

wow, just wow? i dunno i always thought COH was for rebels that didn't want to fall in with the "masses" but since you're all here i dunno, this place isn't what it used to be. I wanna be a rebel.
The games I was interested in this summer were JGE and CO but those both got delayed, so now what could be my last free summer until i retire is...uh...how we say, really fracking lack luster. I think going rogue is the answer to CO and i don't see a COH2 until 2 years after going rogue at the least. hopefully there's a really juicy list of stuff coming in going rogue <prays for new graphics engine>
but yeah guys what's up with being a norm? Be a rebel! Don't play wow!

Going Rogue is an answer to DCUO. When / if Champions ever goes live, it will have minimal impact on this game. I've seen the gameplay and talked to too many people who say it's boring.
Imeco made me do it. But...in defense... I also hated wow, tried it, got a toon to 26 and said <censored> this. Then Imeco said "let's try it." So i went in with an open mind, and began playing. I have been having fun, i think the main reason was that alot of people are "srs bsns" when it comes to wow and the people I play with (all from Triumph!) are laid back and laugh. My 2 cents

After farming one dungeon 153 times and NEVER getting the drop I needed to complete an armor set, I said screw it. WoW is farming and repetitive content to the extreme. No thank you.
I do miss my pet Yeti though

Was over there with Heather, Firi, Imeco, Gen and Infy doing the new TF. The AV is a Hero 1 clone who hits unstop every time you get him close to dying. There are new sound effects however and well... yeah, not much else.
Yawn.
