a question concerning FF.
AFAIK the debuffs remain, however they do NOT "continue working at designed" in the sense that they are now affecting only the target within the Detention Field.
Then again...I may be wrong. I know I know...I am soo very helpful.
You may target an anchor debuff on a Detention Fielded NPC. That NPC will become the anchor. The single phased NPC will not be affected by the debuff, but everything around it will be debuffed.
Same if you Detention Field an NPC that is already a debuff anchor. The single phased NPC will no longer be affected by the debuff, but will remain the anchor, and everything around it will be debuffed.
Short version: Yes, phasing then anchoring a target, or anchoring then phasing a target, are both potentially useful strategies.
Thank you gang. Just wanting to know.

Yeah, while the target can't effect anything around it, the effect is actually coming from YOU. (Even though it's around the target) Thus, its phased status does nothing but protect it from the effect that's centered on it.
I'm actually surprised that I've never tried this, but then, the only FF Power I could target on a Detentioned foe would be Repulsion Bomb. It's obviously more valuable for Dark or Rad. (Darn those allies that keep killing your anchor )
I know there's more than a few FF experts out there so a quick question if I may...
Does Detention Field switch off Debuffs if cast on the same target?
For example: A target NPC gets hit with Radiation Infection/Enervating Field then gets hit with a Detention field. Does the debuff switch off or does it continue working as designed.
Thank you for the help in advance.
