Poor Graphics in Windows 7

When I ran CoH on my HP 64-bit Windows Vista laptop, the performance and graphics were mediocre. (This was strange, becasuse it runs DDO much better, and that's a much more graphically intense game.)

I installed Windows 7 RC, and now the CoH graphics are even worse. Can you recommend anything?

Here are my logs from CoH Helper and Hijack This:

This also doesn't help any. The last Intel Mobile GFX card I had didn't have enough power to run the game very well and from what I've seen they have a pretty bad rep for underperforming in most gaming situations.

Can't recommend anything off the top of my head but I don't think I've ever seen a larger hijackthis with more unknown and deactivated entries and junk files.

Was this a clean install of Windows 7 or did you dogpile a bunch of other stuff on top of it? You only have 971 megs of ram left free out of 4 gigs. That's not exactly efficient.

Don't count your weasels before they pop dink!

Yeah, the graphics chip is below minimum requirements. It was not meant for many of the features of a high-end 3D game. It would be best to shut off or turn to lowest level all graphical effects and see how the game runs and looks.

Then, go back turning on/up each effect one by one. If that has no effect on how the game looks, then leave it off/low, because your graphics chip can't deal with it. If it start degrading performance, bring it back down a notch or shut it off.

One thing that makes the game look great is a high shader detail, and the CoH Helper report shows no result for that. Maybe your GPU can't do any shading details.

You would do well to tune up your computer a bit. Your C: drive is three quarters full and there are a lot of background processes running on your computer. See this site to understand your HijackThis. And this site for an evaluation of your HijackThis.
