(1/2) As long as you can get a TP resist IO, you'll be hard set to best Bot/Traps (given your options). You essentially become your own private super fortress. Any who dare venture to close will... well.. trigger your traps. Acid mortars and land mines and such. Does pretty good damage, is sturdy, and offers good debuffing. I wouldn't go Bot/FF anymore. Well, you could, but only if diminishing returns is off. If you let Bot/FF get hit by the DR curv, ugh, it's just terrible. Low damage and mediocre survivability. If you do go with no DR curve, than Bot/FF is amazingly sturdy... abliet still very low damage.
3) Yes, those are quite standard, and will be useful to you. Though I may recommend Teleport over SS, as you can then keep you pets close, and your enemies... even closer.

Thanks for reply.
I don't think DR was in the game when I played. Is what aspect does it affect Bots/FF? I am guessing it mainly hits it when PFF is on?
If I went with TP (RF, TP Foe, and TP) + Hover (so skipping SJ and SS), would I be gimping myself for pvp? I have heard that SS and SJ were the way to go right now in pvp, but I could be wrong.
Also, I don't have enough PPs for Leadership. Are those still considered great for pvp?
DR hits /FF very hard. Bot/FF is entirely base on stacking defenses and some "pushing" powers like force push and force bubble. The stacking defenses gets hit by DR extremely hard, and you'll be hard pressed to see you OR your pets get over 30% defense, where as without DR it would be around 50+% defense. Thus, you'll be hit a LOT more often. And yes, PFF is totally destroyed by it.
I wouldn't go with TP self, because of travel suppression (Combat lowers the attacker's and attacked's speed), it no longer functions properly as a good escape tool, and is a difficult travel power. Fly can be viable though, but you must be on the ground to actually place most of your traps.
Leadership is probably most useful for tactics. It resists confuse effects (the main bane of MMs), and can be slotted with a +perception IO to give you pretty good perception to see through most stealth.

Pets aren't affected by DR (or heal decay)
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Still having trouble with PPs.
TP
Flight
Fitness
Medicine
Leadership
I guess out of all of those Leadership is the most easily dropped. What do other Bots/Traps run in pvp?
Also, I am not slotting Aid Other for my pvp build (6 slotting in pve). Is that fine?
Speed
TP
Fitness
Medicine
Leadership is garbage unless you need perception from tactics, which you don't really.
I am returning to the game after a ~4 year break.
I have a few questions (I like to theme my characters, so looking at Bots/FF or Bots/Traps for 1v1 arena pvp...I will also take the lighting based shield for theme purposes on both builds):
1) Does FF do decent in the 1v1 arena? I heard PFF was nerfed really bad in pvp which kind of worries me about the 1v1 pvp capabilities of a Bots/FF MM.
2) I hear Traps is "good" for pvp, but I have not heard why. Will a Traps MM fare better in the 1v1 arena then a FF? I really am leaning towards FF, but if there is a significant margin between the two then I will go with Traps since I do like the concept of it too.
3) Power Pools. I am looking at SS, SJ, Fitness, and Medicine (Aid Self). Are these pretty standard PPs for pvp?
