Help with a problem

I've made a story arc, but can't publish it. I've made others and currently have only one published. I have others that it will allow me to publish. There are no errors reported. The size is less than 70% of allowed.

This is my first real arc for public consumption and I am frustrated by not being able to publish is with so apparent reason.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you able to run the mission in test mode? Does any error message appear in the combat channel or any other chat channel when you attempt to test it?

Try saving off a copy of your arc, then deleting missions from it one by one until it becomes publishable. Once you've identified the offending mission, you can do the same thing only with details - delete them one by one until the mission's publishable.

Hopefully that will help you narrow down what's going wrong. If you do figure it out, please post the details here, so that others may be able to save frustration later on.

Was colored black by those killing machines

Test works OK, no errors I seen in combat or other channels. I will try deleting things piece by piece, but was hoping there was some known problems someone might come up with that'd save be the pain of doing that.

I don't know if contacting support could help you figure out what the message means and how to fix it. Have you tried to send a petition about it?

Well, debugging wasn;t nearly the problem I though it'd be. Turns out that for some reason one of the missions won't work with certain maps. The mission is well withing the parameters given for the maps and the maps are not highlighted as unsuable, but it doesn't work with them. Other maps in the same category do work. Odd, but that's what I found. Further investigation will hopefully show me which detail caused the problem with those maps.

It might have been one of the maps that the devs pulled out. I have had issues with map sizes that seem to be fine one day and bugged the next, but they usually show up with an error message.

Yeah, usually you do get error messages for maps you can't use...hm. What map(s) were you using, and what objectves did you have placed on them?

There have been so many known problems, and so many of them have been fixed, that I don't think I'd be any good at blind guessing.

A semi-related issue... I've had the same "error message not showing up when there obviously is one" issue before, except I was able to run the mission. I believe my issue stemmed from confusing the system from being in the MA editor for too long, changing too many things, etc, but I can't say for certain.

With my issue, I was able to test it, but most of the objectives weren't working. Destructible objects would be there, but not glowing and with no surrounding enemies, etc. The same with allies.

Based on the fact that at least for me there seems to be a MA-induced memory leak, I'd suggest having save and exit breaks every so often.

Problem happens with several of the CoH and CoV Small Warehouse Maps. With others of the same map sets it works. Didn;t try with other map sets. Contains Ambush, Boss, Release Captive, Ally, all well within the limits of the maps.
