You've confused me.
My character's origin is based on fighting Rikti and I thought the timeline was roughly where the Whit was, and I can see no indication otherwise in the first twenty pages of the thread.

Nah, I was under the impression this was 'current' with the Whitmoore timeline, post-Rikti-massive-invasion. Paragon present.

I've bumped Artemis 4 years up, otherwise she'd still be 14 or 15. Helen would still be pregnant. Michael would be in the Praetorian world: Council Empire (he stayed there 3 years). Etc. No time fast forward and I'm shackled if I want to do anything with these characters, I'd like them to match where they are in game.
I'm even considering Helen as a minor character for PCU as an associate professor (IE: part time, one or two classes). If I wrote in Whitmoore it would be Maggie Riley and maybe Michael since the two are so closely associated in my mind.
Time bump FTW. Post 2nd Rikti Invasion! That's my vote.

IIRC Sol-Ar/David was also a professor listed, or mentioned. I don't think he ever posted when I was in there, tho.
Yes, we are indeed in the current game time. Post-2nd-Rikti-Invasion, the Menders of Ouroboros exist and are involved in the game world, etc.

I think you already know, but I must, that by that he means real time.
There was no vote you just did it DE so we live with it. Like I tried very hard to explain just because it had happened in the game did not mean those events had come to pass in the thread yet. Doesn't actually matter any more as it is done.

I just don't want my characters stuck in time-stasis since the last time I wrote.
Game events don't have to be played out in perfect time order if we don't want them to be; the 2nd Rikti invasion, Midnight Squad and Cimerora, Ouroboros and the Menders, etc could happen tomorrow and it be "new" if that's the group consensus.
Just don't leave me writing a week from where I left off.

That does bring up an interesting time problem with Nightingale. This is PCU, but you are talking time, so....
In the thread, Nightingale has been depicting events as if she has been gone for 3 years, because in real time it had been about that long. But I doubt that much time has actually passed on the forum. It may not have even been one year. But I have no idea.
It does not concern me, but it is a bit of a conundrum.
If I want to do anything with any of my old characters time has to have passed. I can work with one year.

Hey, does anyone remember if Dodo was ever in Sam's tower?
I glanced back through the thread, but didn't see anything. I tend to miss stuff like that though, so's figured I'd ask someone else.
That is why I can not bring back any of my main characters in the Whit. Any time jump would require too much back explaination on why the characters were gone what has happened.
The only character I could bring back easily would be Seith Flagg aka Kid Valor and even that isn't as easy as it sounds.
So yes the time jumps impacts all my characters greatly. In the PCU several background characters have been hinted at being married and having babies, They are Professors at PCU campuses none of that has seen any airtime really, but if we go with the full time jump Cassie is on her seconds set of twins. And I don't recall If Dream is the youngest.
Way too much unexplained history for my characters. Hehe then again I guess I could use the Star Trek style reboot since we just had a Space time continuum event in PCU, but that would really mess up established characters.
