Memorial Day Weekend Quaterfield
What do you think, Triumph, can we put a Quaterfield together? The Sunday evening before a U.S. holiday strikes me as a great time.
Tibor and I have never run Quaterfield, but we're relatively experienced with the game as a whole. We put in a lot of hours between i9 and i12 and have recently been lured back after a bit of a break.
Part of the frustration that led to my desire to take some time off was the issues that come with playing on a low population server. I've enjoyed the people on Triumph and appreciate the lack of lag, but being in a small, friends only SG on a lightly populated server proved to be very limiting in establishing friends that could be counted on to team with consistently.
So...for our fresh start I'm hoping to make some fresh acquaintances to run things like Quaterfield.
So....anyone...?
maybe if i can remember...
Wouldn't mind doing the TF....will know if I'll be around that weekend by Wed.
MAYBE.....
Il have to check the plans.
I kan most likely come, prolly on a blaster, i haz a fire/kin if joo prefer... prolly gonna have to yell at me, usually sit thar and farm anyways.... yell at me that weekend or so @An Epsilon or sometin
Bringing this back up to the top. It all goes down this coming Sunday. I know we have to have 6 other people on this server who have the fortitude to accomplish this task.
Magic 8ball says....maybe possibly...have the following alts at 50 available to run the Dr.Q:
Dk/Dk/ Def
Emp/Psi Def
Mind/Kin 'Troller
PB
DB/WP Scrapper
Let me know which one will be the most useful.
Oh the Dolls just did one of those.... and I vow not to do another one for 5 years....

The time of day will have a lot to do with me joining. The fastest I've ever done Dr. Q was 4 hours, and that was with an ideal team and hand-picked players, all loaded for bear. The longest Dr. Q I've been on was 11 hours. If you want to do this straight through, keep that in mind when picking a start time and team roster.
I can provide transportation (have both BS/Inv Scrap and 3D with Teleport, Recall, and Assemble), or just about anything else: Tank, uber-AoE Fire Blaster, Sonic Def, MC/FF troller, Kat/DA Scrap.

So what time is better for you? We're still nailing down a time as of now.
What would be your run down of what is definitely *needed*? Tibor has an Invul tank that is IO'd out the whazoo that he could bring if that's the starting point.
Hmmm Fallenz lvl 50 Katana/INV scrapper would like to join this if you get a time that I can join this fun.
OK, tentatively, I am thinking of starting around 5 P.M. central (6 Eastern, 4 Mountain, 3 Pacific). Personally, I am available at any time, and jthig would like to start a little later, but this should give everyone an idea of when we are thinking. It is still adjustable to get the most players available.
Here is a list of the definitely if it goes down:
AncientSwordsman/Ancient Fire
And here is a list of the maybe's so far.
Grog the Big
_Mojo_
Infinite_Zero
fallenz
Imeco0
Azrial
I wont be making it, i gotz a party to go to......hell yea
If this happens, i want to know about it.
AncientSwordsman lvl 50 DB/WP (Preferred)
or
Ancient Fire lvl 50 Fire/kin
If this is a go, send me a global tell and i'll be there with which ever of the above is needed, though i prefer to use my scrapper.

Ok, I have added you to the list as a "definitely if it goes down". Your scrapper would probably be fine since we have a fire/kin on the roster already.

The proposed 5PM CST will work out nicely. I'll be there.

That's a good place to start. Dr. Q not being an AV heavy TF, it has a lot more flexibility to team composition than other TFs. If it didn't take place in the Shard, I'd say bring toons that would work well on a farm. Since it does, you need to plan on the team's transportation needs. That greatly reduces the time to completion, and really can only be met with Teleporters with Recall. One or two of those will shave huge amounts of time off the TF.
For the rest, I'd go with 1 Tank, an /Inv Scrapper or backup Tank (which can have a non-optimal defensive set), 1-2 buffers of any kind (meaning anyone but Darks and Stormies, Emp and Kin slightly preferred), 1 control type (which can be a Dark or Stormy), and the rest are damage-dealers. This is my thought on an ideal team makeup, but deviations will not cause failure, death, and debt, they'll just increase the amount of time needed to finish.
And, seeing as I have an /Inv Scrapper with Teleport, Recall, and Assemble, I volunteer Grog the Big for backup Tank/taxi service/damage dealer. 3 for the price of one!

I have a Katana/INV scrapper with vet reward team recall and have a back up fire/wp scrapper with the same. I would rather run my Katana because that the only shard tf I do not have on him.
Oh this means, yeah i can make it.
Fallenz, Katana/INV scrapper is my first choice.
Barring any last minute family obligations, I should be able to make it...with that being said let me know which one of the following you would like on the team:
Az'rial: D3 w/ recall friend & vet team assemble
serah Phim: Emp/Psi w/ recall friend & vet team assemble
if i am able to make it i have a lot of things....let me know what you need
That is the kind of support I like to see. Here is our roster thus far. It seems like we are going to have a nice go of it with all the team recall and damage dealers. Looks like this is actually going to go down. I will have a vent server set up for those that want to join, I will send out info on that after I get it set up.
1. Tibor Szondi - Inv/SS Tanker
2. Yellow Torch - Fire/Kin controller
3. Grog the Big - BS/Inv Scrapper
4. Fallenz - Katana/INV scrapper
5. Az'rial - D3 Defender (or your other if you like)
6. AncientSwordsman - DB/WP Scrapper
7. Lucie - fire/sr scrapper
8.

A friend of mine and I are trying to see if we can get a group together to run the Quaterfield TF on Memorial Day weekend. We want to start Sunday May 24th some time in the early evening. We won't stop till we have finished it. We need 6 people to join us in our quest to complete this exceedingly long task force. If you would like to join us, post your toon name and powerset and I will add you to the list. We don't know the exact time we will start yet, as there are still some scheduling questions, but we will let everyone know soon.
1. Colonel Schmatz - S/DA scrapper
2. Yellow Torch - Fire/Kin controller
