Dialog missing in mission.

Hola all.

Trying to make myself an arc, and my first try is progressing slowly, but surely.

One of the problems I've come across is an issue with dialog for captives, captors, and ambushes. I've typed some dialog in some of the possible entries, but not all, as I didn't want to have this or that dialog.

Is it required that all dialog fields be filled out for the dialog to work? Or am I going to have to start my arc over from scratch to get it to work?

It's currently the first mission, and I can't seem to get the captives placed right, which I can fix with maps, I think... Outdoor missions don't have a front, middle, or back, it looks like... which I find a little odd. But the dialog, I'd surely like to see.

It's not the same problem as the others I've seen in here where the bubbles don't show, but are in chat, or the like... there's no dialog at all. Nowhere. Especially annoying because the ambushes don't announce themselves. Which is an angle I could explore, but I *want* the announcement text.

I waited all day, and nobody came in to say anything. It's ok. I understand, everyone's to busy playin' with MA, right?

So, to test things, I made an arc called 'One... with Everything." I put in exactly one of every possible thing you can do in a single mission. defeat all, escort, hostage rescue, ambush, defend, destroy, you name it there was one of it, if it was available to pick.

So I rescued Joe Helpless, I escorted The Hated Escort Service, defeated everyone, defeated da Bawss, and his ambush spawn, broke up a fight and then kicked their behind parts, defended an A-Bomb from clickyclacks, and blew up a buncha TNT.

All of which spoke. It was funny to see the A-Bomb say "I'm a bomb.". I had other words, but I didn't let it get to the 3/4 defeated stage. And the TNT said stuff too. Including "BOOOM! Head Shot!" when it blew up and stunned me.

But all of those aren't custom characters, like my two hostages are in my other arc. So I suspect it's either that arc is broken, or the custom hostages are the issue.

I will inform tomorrow or so after I specifically test for this.

No, it's now entirely different... hm.

But I've figured out that it's not missing... it's LATE.

As in, you have to be on top of the hostage/captor group before they say anything... so the point of having 'unaware' dialog is kinda moot, isn't it?

Not real sure what that means... I bugged it... kinda odd though.
