Vista help

Yes I jusy got a vista from my grandpa and it wont download city I have bought the game online and works on my other computer but every time I try to the updater comes up and and error message pops up. Help?

EDIT: Nvm i got it working I just had to save to a diffrent folder

It would probably help if you gave the error message that "pops up"
