Battles with one side as an Ally problem

There is if you set one...
If you don't set a trigger, then the battle begins when you get in range to activate the spawn, which can be as soon as you enter. If you don't see the battle until after one side loses, then you'll only see the winning side.
There's a possibility one side of the battle isn't spawning if you don't have the approriate ranks available (minion lieut or boss), but that doesn't sound like what you're experiences.
Give the battle a trigger, and you'll know when it begins.
I think a nice suggestion for the future might be to not have the defeated side fade like normal. It came to mind when someone else was asking how to leave a lot of defeated bodies laying around.

Thanks. I'll give it a shot & will post on whether it works or not.
I tried setting up a battle, two custom groups, with one as an ally. I also created a defeat boss. This took up almost 97% of the arc file. So I started it up & then found that the "ally" side never displayed! I just saw the enemy for the map just loitering on the map.
Is there a trigger that has to occur to run a battle? I had it set to none & there was no error not to run without it.
