Suggestion: Emote Browser

It would be nice if we could get a better interface for browsing the emotes we have available to our characters. Its a bit daunting to keep track of emotes that are not listed in the current interface. For which there are many! Especially the unlockable emotes.

Maybe an actual pop up window that could stay up.

The emotes that came with the Magic Booster made me realize how seldom I use any emotes in the game. So often something would happen and I would think, "Oh, this is a good time for xxx emote." But by the time I would scroll through the interface and finally locate the emote I was looking for, the moment had passed. At that point, it's like hitting someone with a comeback 2 minutes after the fact.

I created an Excel doc with all of the emotes, categorized, which I now keep open on my 2nd monitor when I play. Not an ideal solution, but a lot easier than using the emote menu.

Kid Lazarus, 50 empath Defender
Freek, 50 mind/psi Dominator
Black Khopesh, 43 db/wp Scrapper
Circuit-Boy, 40 elec Brute
Graf von Eisenfaust, 38 db/wp Brute
Blue Banshee, 35 sonic Blaster
Blood Countess, 33 mind/storm Controller
Dr. Radon, 32 rad Corruptor
Phantom Pirate, 32 db/wp Stalker

It would also be pretty awsome if you could make it a side bar with say 9 favorite emotes of your choice. That way you could browse through them and when you find one that you really like you could just click the favorite button.

Hit an expand button and the interface pops up. This interface/shortcut bar could be opened and closed via the current emote button. So that way players that wish not to have the bar open at all times wouldn't have to.

That'd be totally sweet! Good thing our developers are precognitive, right?

You can open a new "floating" tray with the + icon on the powers tray. Find an empty one and you've got 9 spots to fill up with macros -- say, /macro fbook "em floatbooks", for one of my personal favorite 'waiting around' emotes. And a horizontal tray is too much of an annoyance, you can select it to be partly or fully vertical, or just force verticality by docking it on the side of your screen!

Now, adding, say, A-Z trays and the option to make floating single buttons would also be pretty handy. It's possible to write extensive macro/bind files that alter your existing trays to work just as well, but, well, I'm way too lazy to do that, and I'd say less than a quarter of the player base even knows it's possible.
