Suggestion: Automatically flag EBs and AVs

I'd like to suggest that the default arc listing format indicate whether or not an EB or an AV is present in the mission.

I also think it'd be useful to give some indicator of the difficulty of the mission -- perhaps explicitly flagging anything with Extreme powers, or noting the highest difficulty setting of a critter included.

While some people do note it in the arc description, I'm finding more often than not that these things are not pointed out.

That might be useful, but what might help more is a more detailed feedback: rate the arc in stars for difficulty, story, and design, and average the three for the final rating.

Also, it might be nice if we could access some information such as, "35% of players finished mission 1. 16% of players completed mission 2. This mission was rated 4.3 stars by Scrappers, and 0.9 stars by Controllers."

I would kill for this level of feedback as a designer, even if it wasn't public. I want to know what people ran my arc with, what they found too easy, what they found too hard, what they found boring and what they found fun.

For instance, my boyfriend's single target focused scrapper wants a harder final EB. My controller does not.

Altoholism isn't a problem, its a calling.

that would be really nice to have such detailed feedback, i wish the average stars would show exactly how much your rated instead of general 1 through 5 stars, it doesnt show like the half points of stars and such.

If I could see the number of AVs and EBs in arcs, I would be much more tempted to try other players' arcs. As it is, I'm sticking to my own creations.

If that's all that's holding you back from trying other people's work, try mine.

There is exactly ONE EB in "Wicked, Wicked Wonderland," and that's the Queen of Hearts.

(We now leave this outrageouly shameless plug and return you to the thread in progress.)

I'm definately going to post exactly how many EBs and AVs are in my arcs. At this point, it looks like there will be one, and you will get allies to help defeat it, as I do intend for it to be soloable. But I do want the players to know.

I'll add, though, that I won't have room for more than just "(1 EB, 1 AV)" at the end of the description, as I'm pretty much at the limit as it is. If the devs added about 50 or 100 more characters to that field it would be a big help.

It would be nice to be able to avoid the arcs with 5 EB's in a single mission, all set to extreme. Adding more options for feedback would be great as well, with separate ratings for content, story, and design.

As for getting AT-specific feedback, that would be simply amazing to have.

While I don't necessarily feel that there should be an automagical flagging of missions, I do think designers should at the very least warn potential players of their use of EBs and AVs.

I played a Kobold arc that had an EB in the very first mission, then multiple in mission two... Kobolds! I don't think kobolds should be capable of elite bosses, much less AVs... and it just got worse from there.

All MA designers think theirs is the EPIC storyline, and thus has cause for EBs and AVs... but really, the average mission set has ZERO EBs and AVs in them. Please - stop the insanity!
