any tips or links to adding 3d art to comics???
Depending on the theme of your comic, Poser might be your best bet. I say this because there are hundreds of sites dedicated to Poser and millions of models. Thousands are free. I've accumulated over 20 gigs of models so far (and always growing).
The problem with Poser is that it's evil when placed in the wrong hands. Poser models don't bend well and Poser's render engine is horrible. It's just a tool, not an artist. Make sure you're comfortable with post-work when using Poser.
It's so true. I use Poser a lot in order to figure out the dynamic lighting on figures, but when you see a straight render from it, it's pretty clear that there's all kinds of things that just don't look right.
..so im swimming through my tutorials on inking and illustrator and coloring and photoshop and looking at the other artists on dev that do commisisons.. annnddd... some do 3d stuff...
.. im no poser3d-wonder .. but my 3dstudiomax-stud skills should count for something... dose anyone have any ideas about how to search for 3d comic stuff? ... (*yes, I will look in yahoo and google when I wake up after work *)....
