I'd commissioned Uziel21 of Hero Portrait Studios to do a picture for me of Sorina and Positron for my story "The Course of Superhero Romance", quite frankly because I wanted one, damn it. I sent Uziel21 the specs on the picture, wanting something 'close' but not too intimate.

The notion I'd had in mind was a picture of these two people who are so very adept at keeping others at a distance, both literally (him because of his armor, her because of her powers) and emotionally, managing in some small way to actually TOUCH one another.

THIS was the result.

For anyone who is thinking of commissioning Uz and HPS to do artwork, DO IT DO IT DO IT, it is WORTH IT.

whoa.... that shine on Posi is slick, and the level of detail on both char is awesome as always, and very intimate tucked away setting. Sweet as always.

Oh I've thought of commissioning Uziel ages ago, cash is the limiting factor. I'll definitely holler at him once I've got the free cash to do so.

I was just astounded when I saw this... it's now my desktop and I will be printing it out to hang on my wall as soon as I get paid again.

Got three from HPS myself, and loving them. They do great work over there. Love the doves flying off in this one.

Hope to get more done by them in the future

I'm sort of torn... on the one hand, I keep wanting to send a link to this to Matt Miller going, "Dude, check out your character." On the other hand... Matt would probably kill me for commissioning this.
