Turning off Camera Shake
Isn't that a setting in the options ingame?
Yes, in Options/ Controls, very bottom, Disable Camera Shake.
Enable, save, and it should stay that way for your demo.......
Great idea... tried to modify my opinions file to enable suppressing camera shake. Didn't work. But will try doing it in game....

Won't help - you can't change options that are stored on the CoH server in demos. You're stuck with the defaults. (That's why the option doesn't appear in TweakCOH.)
It would be pretty neat if it loaded options from your default options file on your hard drive. Maybe somebody going to Hero-con can toss this idea at the devs?
And Zloth is correct! Changing the options in the game didn't stop the camera shake in the demo.
Currently I'm trying to experiment with layering multiple MACEHIT4 and MACEHIT5 fxs instead of MACEHITGRAND with slightly different timing... which sometimes gets me the sparks flying but not the 'starbursts' at the point of impact.
Ah... the joys of Demo making.

Reality, unfortunately, is often not up to my standards, which causes the occasional inconsistancy. Spelling reality, in particular.
I'm using Balshor's Demo editor and TweakCoH to produce and launch my demos and dump them to JPGs... and the particular demo I'm working on using the following FX that I need:

The problem: It causes the camera to shake. So even if I have to start using a command line to produce a dump of pictures... how do you stop the camera shaking? I'll be happy to use a similar FX, one that produces the similar -visual- output, that of starburst and sparks flying when a Bane mace hits an opponent.

Why do I need the camera still? Because I'm making composite shots and layering images and that FX happens during that sequence of images and it causes the camera to shake and re-focus and this shaking and re-focusing is by a random amount each time.
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
