((Mental Institutions In The Lore?))

((So, I hope this sort of post is not frowned upon within this forum, as I figured it is the RP Community that may best know the answer...

Are there any Mental Institutions mentioned/used in official lore anywhere? (Whether it be game backstory, comics and/or missions)

I've just been curious and meaning to ask.
Obviously I and everyone else can create whatever we wish (And I'm willing to do so and/or use established creations of others if such things exist... I even encourage such a thing), but I just wanted to check with people much more familiar with the official lore to see if there are indeed any established Institutions for the Mentally Ill and so on.

I've wondered if the Zig officially has a large Criminally Insane Section (Kind of hard to imagine they don't).

Thank you for any information you can provide.))

As far as I know, there's no specific mention of a specific mental institution, but there are a lot. This is the modern world, after all.
I'd just expect them to be more contemporary than the bedlam houses from fiction

There aren't any mental institutions specifically mentioned in the game lore, but (as you also said) given the large portion of the Zig population that suffers from one mental disease or another, the Zig most likely has at least one Criminally Insane wing.

If the person in question isn't a criminal, just insane, you can just make up an asylum and place it somewhere. I'd suggest Skyway or Kings Row; both of those places are kind of dank, so I doubt the city planners would care if they plopped an asylum in there as well.

actually a lot of people would care if it was called an asylum. most mental hospitals these days aren't much different from retirement homes...seriously

There is Psych hospital-while there's no evidence it is an asylum, its praetorian counterpart IS one.
