Hey, manipulating photoshop so that it looks really good is an art.
I haven't scrutinized it, but it looks great!
I like it. The energy and electric effects turned out really nice. The explosion seems out of place a bit (it's a bit too detailed and bright for being that far in the background, I think), but overall it's a solid composition and very well done.

your right unstable that explosion is a bit bright for part of the background. I did some work in the PSD file to lighten it up a bit. but I'll export it to the web later.
I've allready started working towards another with my main villian V-Tron X pitting him against the Kronos Titan in a 1v1 battle in Warburg

amazing composition. The explosion does look too bright and too vivid for being that far away, I'd guess it'd be a bit more blurrier for this distance otherwise the sheer detail and seamlessness of the composition is awesome

Honestly? I didn't realize until I read the post just how much of that was actually edit work.
Heck, I thought besides some minor work on the background (namely the explosion), that the piece itself was just a screenshot.

While I'm not the Hand drawn Artist I used to be, nor could I ever draw people. But I'm pretty handy with Photoshop and getting poses i want out of the game with a little Demoediting. So I put this Image together.

V-Tron was my first ever character made in CoH, he was also my first 50. Over the 4 some odd years I've Been playing this game I decided that the Rikti where the straw that broke the camels back and pushed him over the edge to start down the path in becoming the Hero he is today.
This Picture, while not nescisaraly somthing that will happens in his story, shows him taking his agressions out on the Rikti Mothership crashed in the War Zone.
To make this picture I used an 5 Images, one with just the background, one with just V-Tron in the position he is in with out the graphical effects, one with the effects of the Energy Melee attack Whirling Hands, and one with the effect from Electric Manipulations Charged Brawl, and finaly the one of the explosion. a bit of fine tuned erasing, a few built in photoshop filters and vola the final product. between the tweaks in photoshop and the demofile editing it took me about 9 hours to get the wholet thing done
I do plan on making an similar image for all of my characters over time. starting with those relating to V-Tron
