I think there may be a bit of a disconnect here. The phrase, "The Market is UNPOSSIBLE" (which LJHalfbreed coined for us) is one of those phrases that really means the opposite. The broken link was to a post that used that quote but sarcastically showed that the market is not broken and that, given time, it works for everyone.
So while I agree with what you are saying here, Phil, you need to realize that saying "The Market is not UNPOSSIBLE!" means to most of the market folks that you are siding with the "I want it now"s.

The Casual Player's Market "Guide" - By Philotic
I know this won't stop any more DOOOOM posts or complaint posts, but I thought I would throw my two cents in about the market.
I'm a "casual gamer" for CoX. I play maybe a couple hours a day, more on weekends. I also don't "play the market". I never got into crafting (except to get the badges) and selling and flipping and all that other nonsense. I'd rather be playing the game. Let the people that ENJOY market PvP stand at Wentworths for hours on end. It's not for me.
That being said, I've never had a problem getting anything that I really want, and no one else will have a problem getting what they want either....

That's the key right there. The market IS based on time. If you want a full set of Ragnaroks, you can either "farm" for it (I sure as hell won't!) or you can "play the market game" and make profit that way, OR you can do what I do:
Play The Game
...and have fun doing what you're doing! If you're saving up for what you want, selling the common recipes, salvage and enhancements at the vendors and crafting the uncommon and rare ones and posting them for a reasonable price on the market.... you can Eventually save up enough to get anything you want, either by buying it or by having it drop while you're playing!
It's that whole "I want it now" thing that's the problem.
I do read the market forums, and every time I see another post saying how "X controls the market" or "The market is unpossible!" or "I can't get what I want!"... instead of trying to argue with the people, I will just have a simple link to this thread that says "Eventually You'll Get It".
I'd suggest you all do the same.
