Compression Issues for Machinima Contest Submiss.

***Dear NC Soft/City of Heroes management:

Please take note that those of us who are attempting to submit contest entries for the Matrix Machinima contest via GameTrailers.com (as directed) are unable to do so at this time. The GameTrailers.com website is currently unable to accept new entries (no matter the size of the film), as they are showing problems with their compression software which makes it impossible to complete the upload process.

Please address this issue as soon as possible. I have contacted their Support staff and hope to get an answer soon, but I am sure you can get a quicker answer than I!

Please let us know when this issue is resolved. Thank you very much!

Ummm... NCSoft isn't running that contest. Why would they be involved with GameTrailers.com's technical issues? And how could NCSoft "address" problems we are having with a completely different company?

Because NCSoft (the current owner of City of Heroes) is partnering with this sponsor (GameTrailers.com) for the "Get in Touch with Your Dark Side" Matrix Machinima contest, and currently, we are unable to post our submissions to this partnering sponsor. I have written three e-mails to GT's Support staff with no result. I understand that a lot of people are still on vacation for July 4th and it will probably eventually get fixed, but if a company partners up with a sponsor and that sponsor is incapable of handling contest submissions properly, the company in charge of the contest (in this case, NCSoft) needs to do something to fix the problem.

See, there's the flaw in your logic. NCSoft is NOT in charge of this contest. Ex Libris has officially said so in the topic where we are asking about the contest rules. (I believe that you have posted this "request" over there also.)

IT AIN'T NCSOFT'S CONTEST. Period. Any feelings or opinions that you have which are contrary to the stated facts are not relevant.

Hey gang,

We had some follow up with the good folks at Gametrailers.com and it looks like any submission problems are resolved. Please let us know (or post to the Gametrailer.com forums) if the problem is persisting.
