Content Watch

Heroside levels 20-30

Market is boiling, purple craze is up.

Ghosts are raiding Talos' Wentworth. Details at 11.

It's that time of the month again! This is Plater bringing you another exciting
issue of the Content Watch. I know I've been running late with my writing these
past few weeks, but this whole real life thing has been taking a lot more of my
free time this spring.

This week the subject is the heroside content for levels 20 to 30. My thread has
once again been buried with talk of I12, but a few forumites gave interesting
opinions. You can read everything they wrote
here
.

From what I could read, the most popular pieces of content in the level 20-30
range for the heroes are missions in Croatoa and Striga and scanner missions.
The old contacts are left in the dust mostly because their missions require you
to often go through 2 zones to reach the door. Sure, base and Ouroboros portals
solve some of this issue, but not everyone has access to these. Independence
Port is also often left in the dust by Talos Island. As the largest zone in the
game, IP can be boring if you have to run for 2 miles to get to your mission
door. Even with the fastest travel power, crossing this zone can still take
some time. Resources in Talos Island are more centralized, but some players
have latency issues during peak hours because Wentworth's, the trainer, and the
base portal are all close together.

Hazard zones are still unpopular, except for Striga Isle, which has contacts and
door missions. You rarely see anyone hunting in Dark Astoria or Terra Volta.
Even though DA is a good spot for magic salvage, not many archetypes have the
power to solo hazard zone spawns rapidly at level 21. Striga has some
interesting contacts that offer good rewards, including the wedding band (+res
all toggle), and the werewolf whistle (summon warwolf). Also, doing the last
contact there will unlock the Ernesto Hess TF, where you can spoil the latest
Council plan to take over the world.

Croatoa is probably the most popular zone for leveling at 25. There are a couple
of contacts in there and the zone has a unique feel. All the content and story
is related to the zone. The fact that all door missions are in the zone
(reducing travel time) and that all enemies drop the always-in-demand magic
salvage are two facts that make this zone a popular choice for leveling.

There are still a couple of annoying things in the level range, as usual.
Certain hunt missions are really hard to do. You can be overwhelmed fast by
some hunts in Striga (hazard zone spawns + high levels) if you're not careful.
Some hunts in Croatoa suffer from a sub-zone boundary limit, where some enemies
will not count if you're standing in the wrong spot, but by moving just a
little bit, they will count.

As for the older content (Striga and Croatoa being the 'new' content),
New_Age_Ronin said : 'The 25-30 range has some of my favorite story arcs in the
game: "An Unnatural Order," "The Mysterious General Z," and especially "The
Freaklympics" are all pretty fun arcs to run'. I agree with him. You must run
these arcs at least once while reading the story to fully experience them.

This level ranges has 4 task forces and the first respec trial. The task forces
are somewhat popular because Sister Psyche's TF (fighting Freakshow) and
Citadel's TF (fighting Council) count towards the 'Task Force Commander' badge.
Striga task forces are run from time to time. Both involve fighting the
Council, but they are shorter than the Phalanx TFs. Plan on about two hours for
Moonfire (level 23-28) and one hour for Ernesto Hess (level 25-30). The first
respec trial (level 24-33) takes you to Terra Volta to prevent the Sky Raiders
from destroying the reactor core. As with most respec trials, it is easier to
do it with a team in the 30s than it is to run it at level 24.

The 20s are an important milestone for many archetypes. You can get your second
costume, your cape, SOs (or equivalent IOs), Stamina and some great powers from
your primary and secondary powersets. Some new enemies including the Freakshow,
the Warriors and the Banished Pantheon make an appearance, and some old
factions gain new annoying enemies and powers. As Cipher stated with regards to
the CoT : 'It might be in this range that Oranbega rears its loathsome head
heroside. Sorry, developers -- Oranbega looks great, but I resent every second
I spend on one of the maps. I hate Oranbega.'

This pretty much summarizes the available content for the level 20-30 range
heroside. I'm sure you can manage by yourself, but think of this article as a
set of generic guidelines. I would like to thank everyone that posted on the
Content Watch thread, but I would like to see more people write something. I
know it can hard to find the time to check all those new posts with I12 and
spring cleaning. This is Plater for the City Scoop, enjoying the I12 open beta
and wishing you all a great time on Test next week.

Point / Counterpoint

This is the sixteenth in a series of Point/Counterpoint articles, which reviews
commonly requested player suggestions, and the pros and cons of those
suggestions.

This week’s subject – Powerset inherent powers

POINT:

Some recent forum posters have suggested that adding some form of inherent buff
based on the power sets each character has would make sense. For instance
selecting fiery blast would provide some small fire buff, perhaps resistance to
fire. The thinking goes that a character that uses fire would naturally be more
resistant to that form of damage. This would add a nice role playing aspect to
character creation, and provide players with a small inherent buff as well. We
know that the developers can add temporary powers based on character aspects,
since we have origin powers. It is not too much of a stretch to think they
could add powers based on power sets as well.

COUNTERPOINT:

However, there are some problems with the idea. First, in order to keep the
current powers structure valid, the buff amount would have to be small. It is
likely that the buff amount would be too small for players to notice any
meaningful game play difference with them. Furthermore, not all inherent powers
would be equal, as lethal resistance would be much more useful than cold
resistance. Finally, there is no obvious thematic reason why a character that
uses a particular power set would necessarily have some buff associated with
it. Many of the protection sets have the equivalent of such an inherent power
already built in to the set.

Fan Fiction Spotlight

Justice-Knights:
Introductions and Executions

By Sin_Stalker

It's rare to find something like this. For a comic book video game, we count
very few actual comic books, in any format, as part of our fan fiction. Sure,
there are a few from Chase, and those are cool, but the FFSL can't present them
to you because (a) they're already presented to you, sometimes as the main
article of the Scoop, and (b) well, they've got enough fanfare. If there are
any others, though, the Spotlight is largely unaware of them. So, those of you
who are aspiring comic writers and artists and your work has something to do
with City of Heroes or City of Villains, get in touch with me like Sin_Stalker
did.

Now, this is a first attempt. The style starts out shaky, but it resolves itself
fairly well. There are also a few spelling errors, but they're largely 'Word
Bubble Restricted' errors (as in, the words would have escaped the bubble if
the proper word had been used), so it's not for a lack of trying.

The important thing about any story, however, is that it draws the reader in.
For this, one can forgive just about any sin of grammar. 'The Justice-Knights'
definitely draws you in. I must admit, I was skeptical when it was first
presented to me, but I actually found myself rooting for the heroes and
pressing my lips together in consternation as the villains committed their
dastardly deeds. Give it a read, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Black Market Watch

Chat with The_Bronx

Smurph: I have searched the villain markets and have found one
of the great Black Market merchants. I'd like to introduce The_Bronx! Please,
tell us a little about yourself.

The_Bronx: I play on Champion. This goes for Heroes and
Villains. I started on Heroes in November of 2004. That brings me close to the
forty-two month mark. I have been playing Villains since its inception. Since
the head start, even.

Once Villains came out, I would honestly say I have been exclusive to the Rogue
Isles. I believe before Issue 9 I had three heroes that were sitting at the cap
- two from my main account, the third on my second, nicely outfitted with
Hamidon Origin Enhancements - while I had four or five villains of the same
caliber.

Since the Market has come into play, and with my occasional dip into the PvP
waters, I have expanded my team of characters on both sides. I have nearly
twenty characters at the cap. All but one of them completed - purples and all.
I have two Villains at the cap on Freedom. I also have a lot of lowbies on
Freedom, actually - mostly heroes.

Smurph: Quite an impressive array of heroes and villains! How
much of your time do you spend at the markets?

The_Bronx: It is somewhat of a joke on Champion that if there
were a badge involved with Market time that I would have had the epics by the
first weekend. All of my game time is spent at the Market. Honestly, at this
point, I stand there to stand there. I am not always engaged with the Market,
tinkering around with prices or anything, but whether idly watching players
flock to the Market to sell their things or reviewing what items can be
influenced, all of my time is spent there in Cap au Diable. Supergroup members
or an occasional Katie will pull me away, if I am on the game. That's about it.

Smurph: You spend quite a bit of time at the market. What type
of strategies do you use to turn a profit?

The_Bronx: I would say manipulating. I do some speculation too,
I suppose. I suggest flipping to supergroup members since most are looking to
make infamy. You can be a little more creative when you actually have it,
though. I also craft just about everything, but that is merely because it is
easier for me to store and keep track of.

Smurph: What's an amusing story about your market maneuvering?

The_Bronx: I bought twenty-something Luck of the Gambler: 7.5%
Recharge recipes for under fifty thousand within the first week of Issue 9.

Someone that I did not particularly care for at the time wanted something that
only I had. I do not even remember what it was. There were zero on the market
and maybe a dozen in one of my bases. I ended up selling her one at an
increased price. She didn't have the infamy, so she ended up giving me all of
her infamy and the majority - if not all - of her recipes across about two
characters.

I'm sure a response to this is, "What an [censored]." which may be true, but
even now, I am laughing my [censored] off reminiscing.

Smurph: That's gloriously wonderful. Do you have any plots and
schemes for the future in the works?

The_Bronx: About a month before Issue 11 was released, I
announced a costume contest I would be hosting. The contest was for those who
weren't around their families for the holidays (or those escaping their
families) around that holiday weekend and would be on the game. Personally, I
think it was the largest contest ever held - with about a billion in prizes.
This prize went for heroes and villains, as I held a contest on each side.

The part that I suppose is interesting is that part of the prizes were sets of
purples. I made this offer before they were in the game, confident that I would
have sets for myself and Web, and then some to spare for the winning
participants.

Hero turnout was pretty epic, although I was truly hoping for a larger villain
turnout. No worries, though. I'll be doing another contest in another few weeks
before I leave. Plug, plug.

Smurph: Thanks for this insight into the mind of a true market
player!

Base Showcase

Sentinels United

Who is your base designer and who are your supergroup leaders?

The designers are the leaders - Tigra Swipe and Prince of Light.

Which server is your base on, and is it a hero or villain SG?

Virtue, hero, and it's a roleplaying SG.

When was your supergroup established?

December 21, 2006 (in this incarnation).

How many players are in your supergroup?

It varies. We have a core group of about 10-12 people who are on regularly,
with up to 25 people at varying times.

What is the approximate value of your base?

17 million in terms of prestige, but we get much more value from RP and
satisfaction.

How much time do you spend working on your base? How much time have you
invested so far?

Whoo. Way too much when we're working on it. We'll go for months without
anything, then sit down and do 3-8 weeks of nothing but base designing when
it's time to expand. This latest expansion (the first with full stacking) took
well over 80 hours. I stopped counting then.

What is your favorite base item? Least favorite?

Individual item? The AES. Least? I can't really say I have an item I don't
-like-. The AES was my least favorite to design around, though.

What is your favorite thing about base editing? Least favorite?

Favorite: Being able to bring to life a place that is both functional (in both
the RP and game manners) and enjoyable to just hang in. Least favorite: RAID
PATHING.

What is the highest thing on your wish-list for new base items?

A mission computer that allows you to create your own missions to share with
friends.

If you could give just one piece of advice to a new base editor, what would
it be?

Be patient, and be creative. (Okay, technically that's two.) Base building can
be -incredibly- frustrating, but it can also be very rewarding when you're
done.

Anything else you'd like to add about your SG, your base or the base system
in general?

We're always looking for new people to join us for RP. We have teams both red
and blue side, for both adult heroes and teens.

Shadow Souls

Who is your base designer and who are your supergroup leaders?

SG Lead and Base Architect: "Iceheart." ( @IceHeart.) - Little ol' me.

SG 2nd in Command: "Megan Coldheart" (@Draven Darklight)

Which server is your base on, and is it a hero or villain SG?

We're villains, located on the Triumph server.

When was your supergroup established?

We were created in October of 2006. It was pretty much a one-person group for
some 6 months or so. Then, a couple people asked to get in, then some more,
then suddenly we were getting more prestige and were able to build more and
better things. Now, while not one of the big-name SGs yet, we have a solid core
of players. Not bad for something that started as a personal experiment on base
building a year and a half ago!

How many players are in your supergroup?

Our current roster list has 117 member characters, which counts for somewhere
around 40 to 50 individual players.

What is the approximate value of your base?

Around 14 million prestige, last time I checked.

How much time do you spend working on your base? How much time have you
invested so far?

I usually spend one or two hours per week tinkering with 'minor fixes and
updates', most of which I usually undo anyway. Maybe 8 to 10 hours every month
or so making bigger changes. The last major renovation took me about 8 hours.
While they may be not too apparent, there are a few floating things here and
there, and those seem to take a lot of time. In total, the current version of
the base probably took some 20 to 30 hours. That of course does not include
maybe a hundred hours or more of practice on previous -much uglier- versions.

What is your favorite base item? Least favorite?

I must say my favorite room/item is our Fireplace/Library. It has survived in
slightly different versions for about 5 months now. The funny thing is that
people actually do use it from time to time to just get together, kick back and
chat for a few minutes, which is a lot to say for such an action-paced game.
Least favorite is the invention area. There is simply nothing there, but I had
to make it work with our current plot size. That's proboably one of the first
things to get revamped once we get our upgraded plot, hopefully next month.

What is your favorite thing about base editing? Least favorite?

Favorite: Simply the ability to create a cozy lair, suited to your - and your
SG's- style and personality. The option to have developer-created content, yet
also have your own home is just great! I never tire of exploring new
combinations, colors etc. My SG members complain that they have just started
getting used to something, and here I go and change it again! What can I do?
gotta keep 'em on their toes! Least favorite: Probably the lack of a temporary
staging area when building. Having to destroy half your base to fit in a new
room is no fun.

What is the highest thing on your wish-list for new base items?

Well, some of the more veteran guys had a great
list of suggestions
in the forums a few weeks ago, and that includes
most of my things. But If I had to put something at the top of 'my' list, it
would be getting a 'Sexy Jay' for Bases. Namely, a Developer/Community
Relations Manager who is specifically focused on base development, bug fixing
and enhancements. Allowing the builders' community to reach out through a
specific channel/person would go a long way lot to help improve the base
building experience and speed up the work on some of the pains the current base
building system has.

If you could give just one piece of advice to a new base editor, what would
it be?

Patience and practice makes perfect, and the forums are your friends! Base
editing may be a bit awkward in the begining, but with a bit of patience, and a
lot of testing, you can make an awesome base! There's really a lot of stuff in
the forums, guides etc. Start at the general Base Building forum
here
. Patience to read through all those applies here too.

Anything else you'd like to add about your SG, your base or the base system
in general?

Well, we may not be the biggest or the 'baddest', but we certainly do get a lot
of fun! If you find your current toon is sad, lonely and homeless, reach out to
us! If anybody would like to click
here
to visit our Shadow Souls home page - we also have a new hero SG
too! (Please pardon the dust and keep your hard hats on while visiting the
website.) If anybody wants to reach out to me directly, either for our SG or
for questions about base building, feel free to
PM me
on the forums or just send a tell to "@Iceheart." (note the dot)
in-game. I definitely don't know all the answers, but I probably can help some
of the more junior builders, and will be happy to do so.

Behind the Mask

Well loyal readers it’s another Behind the Mask segment! This time we got to
chat with heroine Meta Vindicta on the Virtue Server. This player is a long
time vet and was ready to share their mind with us about themselves, the game,
and some of the reviews CoX has gotten in the past. I know you’re all chomping
at the bit to see what Scoop-Man (my resident reporter on Virtue) has for you
to read, so let’s get the scoop!

City Scoop: Thank you for taking the time to talk with us for
the City Scoop. We know everyone has a busy schedule in and out of game.

Meta Vindicta: Not a problem.

CS: So tell us a little about yourself, Meta Vindicta. Where do
you live if you don’t mind us asking?

MV: I live in Presque Isle, Maine. It’s a small town on the
eastern coast of Maine.

CS: Sounds nice. How’s the weather this time of year?

MV: A bit windy, highs in the upper 60s usually, although it
gets cold at night with the sea breezes. Good seafood too, and plentiful.

CS: Ah, a true coast town then!

MV: That’s right, it’s small and everyone knows everyone else
too. I like it a lot.

CS: Sounds lovely. What do you do when you are not playing CoX?

MV: Well, I travel a lot, and I’m a history buff, so I spend a
lot of time at the local library and at the University of Presque Isle here in
Maine. I inherited a good deal of money from my grandparents, so I don’t work
right now.

CS: Ah that sounds nice to be able to pursue your own
interests.

MV: It’s nice, it really is. I feel pretty lucky.

CS: With all that free time on your hands, you said you visit
the library. What sort of books do you check out?

MV: Mostly, history books and texts about anthropology and
psychology. They’re all interests of mine. I hike a lot too; the northern woods
of Maine are wonderful. Plus, Presque Isle University has a huge library.

CS: There are quite a lot of nature lovers in the community of
CoX, as well as history buffs. Speaking of the community, how do you find it on
this, or any other server?

MV: Well it’s the only server I’ve played on since the start. I
love this community. Very helpful, friendly, and the roleplaying is great.
Better than most MMOs I’ve played. Of course, there are flaws, but they’re few
and far between.

CS: Many have expressed the feeling that this game seems to be
a home away from home, with extended family and friends to boot. Would you
agree?

MV: Yes, I would. I play it a lot when I travel, because it
kind of takes away that homesick feeling at times. I’m playing on my laptop
right now, as a matter of fact, flying over the Atlantic.

CS: [laughs] The only way to fly is with super heroes right?

MV: Oooh, good one.

CS: I see by the number of veteran badges that you are, as the
name indicates, a vet. Are you happy with the direction the game has been going
since you began to play?

MV: It only gets better with each issue, especially considering
that they’re all free. This is the only MMO that I still play, so I think that
speaks volumes with the huge amount of MMOs out there.

CS: Indeed. With the amount of players playing, as indicated by
Matt Miller in his anniversary message, do you think the game has gotten the
amount of attention it deserves?

MV: Hmm, no. I think it deserves more, really. It’s such a
great game, but I’m happy as long as it stays fun and I have plenty of friends
playing with me.

CS: Many, if not most, would agree with you in that.

MV: I would think so. It’s a niche title, of a sort, so I don’t
expect huge media attention or anything, but it sure deserves it.

CS: The ratings it has received from reviewers such as the show
X-Play on the G4 network and PC Gamer give the game much credit, but say there
is not much originality. A lot of players seem to think that this has to do
with lack of time playing the game or reviewers writing it off as just another
MMO. Do you find any truth in these statements?

MV: Well, considering it’s the only superhero MMO out there, at
least that I know of, I’d say it’s pretty darn original. I love it for the fact
that no one looks just like anyone else either, unless they do it
intentionally. That’s my favorite part about the game. I could make characters
all day. And the story arcs are great too, not to mention the attack effects.
I’d say they just didn’t give it enough time.

CS: Speaking of the attack effects , there is a new edition
coming to that area with the new issue coming out soon. Visual sounds. Lots of
players are going bananas for this. Are you?

MV: Well, I’ve never been a big comic book fan. What drew me to
this game is character customization, so I’m not all that excited about it.
However, the power proliferation, that’s got me excited. I’ve always wanted a
psychic blaster. And I can’t wait to make a plant controller because I have a
great costume in mind. I've already won lots of costume contests with it.

CS: The character creator is also receiving some stream-lining
with the new issue. As a fan of the character creation, are you excited about
that?

MV: Oh yes, like I said, that’s my favorite part of the game.
Any improvements to the creation process is good. Now all we need is power
customization so I can have purple energy blasts with my energy blaster, and
red dark melee attacks.

CS: Indeed. Well before we close here we’d like to ask just one
more question. What has made you fell most like a super hero in this game?

MV: Oooh, that’s a tough one. There are so many good answers.
This one time, I was in a Council base, leading out a hostage, and four
ambushes spawned at once and attacked. Each ambush had 3 minions, one
lieutenant and one boss. I had to pull out every trick, use all my
inspirations, all my powers, everything. I just barely survived it, and I had
an awesome song playing on my I-pod, “You know my name” by Chris Cornell. When
it was all done, my blood was pumping, and my heart was racing. Yup, I’d say I
felt like a real hero in that one. It’s the close fights that really make me
feel “heroic.” Especially when the hostage thanks you after the dust clears.

CS: I think we’ve all felt that at one time or another. Any
closing comments?

MV: Yes, thanks for giving me the opportunity to speak with
you. It was a real pleasure and a first for me. Even though I’ve been playing
for a while I won’t soon forget it. Oh, and go go Action Pact, my SG J. Shout
out to the old SG, can’t go away without doing that.

CS: Well you know what we say, “a publication for Supers, by
Supers.”

MV: Good motto.

CS: Thanks Meta Vindicta. It’s been a pleasure.

MV: You’re quite welcome.

Nom Nom Nom

I have a lot of respect for Lady K and who submit and suggest recipes. However, sometimes you
don't want to cook. Ever have one of those days when the doomsday weapon won't
activate, or you fail to save a small country from being controlled by evil
forces? Sometimes you just want to eat out. I'm going to talk about some good
and bad places to get your munch on. Because evil isn't worth it on a empty
stomach.

Archon Steele's Country-Style Roasted Poultry: Who would have thought a super
soldier would abandon his post on a war machine to cook chicken? With multiple
locations around Paragon and a place in Nerva, people often come to chow down
on some slow-roasted bird-based meat. And sure people claim that the mix of 27
herbs, spices, drugs and volatile liquids horribly mutates people and enforces
loyalty to the Council. I say "Bah." It's pretty good eats, and the last time I
fed it to some dogs, they grew wings. Great to eat, and great to use to mess
with nature.

Soul Food: A joint venture by a couple of Carnies and a few rogue CoT mages
resulted in an interesting place. Located in a diner in Nerva by Thorn Isle,
they serve up good old fashioned food like Mom used to make - if your mother
was a psychic, Oranbega-worshiping screwball. No offense to those of you out
there like that. The food may be okay, the workers may be odd, the salads may
be laced with stones that steal your soul, and occasionally the smell of
brimstone wafts from the kitchen, but just suck it up and try their food.

Cheep Fuud: What was once a warehouse that held tons and tons of food became a
hellhole run by Trolls. Run by people juiced up on Superadine who can barely
spell, you get a bucket full of food for the low price of half a brick. Sure,
it hasn't been stored properly or even cooked, but it says a lot if you walk in
for a meal. Specifically, it says you want to die. I would not recommend this
to anyone who goes to Skyway City. Go for the atmosphere of violence and
stupidity, and stay to watch people call Ralph on the big white phone.

Aeon Corp Mandatory Nutrition Dispensing
Center: Apparently Arachnos doesn't quite like that their subjects die from
hunger. This industrial gray building located on each of the Isles gives out
free food to anyone who looks pathetic enough. Slap on the mud and ripped jeans
and get in line. You get an allotment of all sorts of nutritional junk.
NutriPaste, MeatPaste, VeggiePaste, ProteinPaste, WeightPaste,
Anti-WeightPaste, FishPaste, the highly controversial AquaPaste and for the
junkies: UltraPaste. It gives you a wicked boost with no crash, but it has some
strange side effects. Specifically, I can't remember that one weekend I stole
seven rations worth of the stuff. Go for the extreme amount of vitamins, leave
once you figure out why the people who eat the stuff keep disappearing. Here's
a hint: Illegal experiments.

Boneyard Barbecue: Most people think Hellions and Skulls can't work together.
But a love of the dark arts and a mutual hatred for lowbies often brings them
together. Serving up beef marinated in the energies of the Netherworld and
cooked by the fires of Hell, they actually make a pretty good meal. So step on
out of the tutorial and stop by. Just don't question why you'll occasionally
speak in tongues or shoot negative energy every time you burp.

The Cutting Edge: It's probably not safe to eat food prepared by a man who was
dead. That's why I rarely visit this Vahzilok-run restaurant. With an
all-you-can-eat buffet of fine meats and fattening desserts, the food is
incredibly tasty. Of course, the chefs are skilled surgeons, so they know their
way around a hunk of meat. Still, many people disappear after eating their
fill. The meat does taste a little odd, but then again, it is all-natural.
Visit once, and make sure to dodge the crossbows and bonesaws on your way out.

There you go, places to eat, drink and be merry. That which does not kill you
postpones the inevitable. Or speeds it up. Make sure to have your shots, and
wash your hands before, during and after eating. Remember, it's $20 for a
stomach pump but the memories last forever. Unless you eat too much UltraPaste.

LOST: My pet Alpha Bomb has been lost. Last time I had him he was on Protector.
He has been last seen on Champion, but bounces to different places. He is very
sly and can go by different names, but he always responds to Yo Gamma. If found
please contact Crimson Betrayal.

Want to be part of the VEAT Army? Yes we are an offshoot branch of the FUSION
empire in the Protector dimension loyal only to Ghost Widow. We are destined
for greatness.

Ghost Widow has ordered my organization to form a new sect in support of special
operations. I will recruit within our ranks as well as go outside of our known
coalition. These chosen members will go to an academy for training as various
Arachnos soldiers. While I do not like to be told how to run FUSION, Widow
assures me that I will be rewarded for forming this group.

My first order of business is to choose villains among my organization that
display some of the following qualities: Mind control, knowledge of poisons,
stealth, acrobatics, weapons fighting, and most importantly do not display fear
and that would die if I ordered them to do such. I have at least 20 in mind
from my 150 Villain organization that fit this criteria. Over the next few
weeks I will begin listing them in preparation for training.

This training will consist of a series of trials and strike forces ordered by
Ghost Widow. More to follow soon.

Veat Army Project
