I very much appreciate the lesson on layers and using transparent colors. Notice his visor and belt buckle. That lesson helped a ton.

Ran another Costume Contest and the winner got prize money, recipes and another free attempt at drawing by me.
I first looked for pictures of Guyvers and the first thing that came up was an action doll. I am currently waiting for my book on dynamic poses so I went ahead and drew in the pose that the character was already in.
I am starting to get a feel for shine on the armor by mixing colors a bit, and layers are starting to make sense to me.
Lacus is part of the Guyvers on the Protector server and here is his in game screenshot:
