Yeah I had a vision is all I can say, I was thinking of the new Iron Man trailer where he's flying by the jets and I thought, wait, that would be cool for this toon, what if, she was doing a fly by and the pilot saw her as she was saluting... so here's my mini sketch took about 30 minutes start to finish. I'm gonna do the appropriate research for the pilot and plane when it comes time to do her.
Basic idea is the image of her will be a reflection, but I won't fade it too much, the arm and cape will be more in focus, just as a hint. Sides I don't want to draw a full toon from the back, especially when you won't see her face, it would be a waste of time.
Anyway, hope you like her...

I think I can do it, I may have to trace the plane to save time, but I'm gonna use a retro plane for it. Anyway, here's another pass at your toon, kind of Gene Colanesque if you ask me, not the final, just reminding myself of the particulars...

Mm, there's a quick fix on this piece you could do LJ... Everything looks good cept that leg on the viewer's left. It appears tweaked at that angle. It just needs like, a 15 degree rotate up. It'd also be a stronger pose with the leg straight out You don't really need to redraw, just use the magic wand to draw around the whole leg and rotate it with the transform tool
I dig the dynamic pose here, looks really nice
Yeah it got bent adding the boot fittings below the knee, odd optical illusion, but anyway, I fixed it as per your suggestions , and cleaned him up a little in Photoshop.
This style is really for my late night sketching, as I use my wife's Mac, and just try to get around her Illustrator program, that I like to draw in...
I use Illustrator too on my pc, but as per any artist, I have my own preferences, brushes, and settings. Her Mac is set for all her vector work, and I have to be careful not to change too much, or man she gets evil!
J/k, but that's how I roll after midnight...

I've been wondering, is this more of what you were after, I was looking at my Patriette sketch and realized that the plane was like 60% of the image, and she wasn't prevalent enough... So if you like I can come up with a more simplified action shot for her, much like the War Patriot peace above... OR your other choice is that I could add her to the above piece, and have the two of them together? Which would you care for? And don't say I leave it up to you... I'd rather do what you want.

that's certainly a bit more in feel with the character there.. she is a Tank and has SJ for her travel power and not flight but who's to say she didn't just jump strait up. I would certainly be up for a duo shot of them but i have so little of WP Solo at this point I'll keep them seperated. Though if you did one of her jumpin up to grab the railing of an enemy helecopter (think King Kong)..hehe... that would be really cool but a Major Pain so Not pushing that one but if you feel Froggy.. Both images look great but i also know you said you might have to trace a plane and that might take away from the other stuff so Her in a Jump would be fine.Love how you got the cape flared out catching the wind BTW

Ah k, I didn't realize she was a super jumper, let me take that in, and cook something up... I'm gonna say no to a helicopter, it's got the same problems the plane would have.... being deemphasis on her. Hurl, now that could be fun...
Yeah I figured so on the Copter as well beside those are technically even harder then a plane... I know I tried on 3d didn't work well. just another FYI if you go for hurl... She Has a penchant for totally hating Clockworks as per the Babbage Pinup I had done by Dandy.
