The television screen briefly flashed with static before a small clockwork, wearing a tuxedo, appeared.

"Good morning heroes of Paragon City and villains of the Rogue Isles. I am the Converted Clock. Do not worry, though, unlike my misled brethren I mean you no harm as most of my plans are for the betterment of our communities."

From somewhere near the back of the bar - "Oh great, another public servic message..."

"Shuddup! I think it's kinda cute. I wanna hear what it has to say" the elf with the large assault rifle shouted back.

"For the past three years my talents have been employed to organize a series of Olympic competitions in the dimension that I come from. This year, it has been decided to expand these games across the similar dimensions. I apologize for this temporary commandearing of your airwaves, but I am seeking some assistance with promoting and coordinating these Olympic competitions."

The small clockwork paused briefly before continuing, "There have been a number of changes since the last series of competitions, so in addition to looking for local contacts to help bring our efforts to the various dimensions, the team that I work with is also seeking creative minds to design competitions that will be balanced across the various dimensions that we wish to bring the Olympics to and to tell the stories of the competitors and their triumphs. Thank you for your time. I will be in touch."

The television screen briefly flashed with static again before the small clockwork reappeared.

"I do have one favor to ask of you, completely irrelevant to my mission here. If you see that impostor that calls itself the Clockwork King, please Tesla cage it for me."

Hi all. I just wanted to briefly introduce myself. I've been running an Olympics on the Champion server for the past three years now. After our last one concluded, I assembled a small team of people that had participated in the events and discussed with them the plausibility of expanding our Olympic games to the other servers. Well, to make a long story short, we've done a bit of planning on how to expand and adapt our Olympics to be able to be hosted on multiple servers in 2008, but there's still a long ways to go. We'd like to develop new events, of course, to keep the Olympics fresh and to also make it a bit friendlier to host across multiple servers simultaneously. Hosting it on Champion is one thing, as well as helping someone else host it on another server, but its a monumental increase in work to bring it to all of the servers. My team and I think its possible, and we're all willing to put in the work to see it happen correctly, but we can always use more help - and that's where you come in.

Specifically, we're looking for help with writing some articles for the Olympics. These could range from sports news type updates of an event, to editorials on the design or training for an event, to fiction inspired by one of the events or competitions. So, if you're interested please let me know.

I would say follow the link in my signature for more information, but, unfortunately, the w00tradio server change over lost our old web page. To give you an idea of what the past Olympics have been like, we've typically had several hundred contestants attending our events. The last Olympics was about 25 events in all when you factor in the various weight classes, and it spanned 4 weeks (so it sounds like a lot, but it was maneagable by just a handful of people). Some of the events were standard pvp tournaments or races to complete task forces. Other events were testing your survivability against particularly cruel missions (my favorite was a little cozy place known as the Death Box...2 villains go into a one room mission set for a team of 8 on relentless, complete with an EB) or AVs (we've enjoyed the company of Psi Babbage, Mother Mayhem, and many more to say the least), and others still involved badge collection, relay races, and scavenger hunts. So...there's a good mix of pvp, pve, and badge-ing involved.

Anyways, back to your normally scheduled programming. Thanks for listening.
