could be these crappy work pc's but pic seemed 'faded'...they looked alright otherwise. although more detail would be nice regarding background to associate with why she looks the way she does. there is obviously a connection being made by my dumb butt is to obtuse to figure it out...

Ok; She got KO'd by a bomb blast during a raid on the Rikti mothership. A Magus saw her and dragged her inside to see if he could Riktify her into a Guardian or something. Her DNA, being from an even more alternate dimension than the Rikti, rejected their attempted modifications, and caused her to grow wings instead. The scarring on her face is a result of the bomb blast that originally knocked her out, and the burnt wings...well..realizing their failure, they tossed her out onto the mothership again during another assult. A bomb blast caught her again, and her wings caught fire....her villaingroup leader managed to drag her back to safety and..that's why she looks that way now.
