Humm... It's my first time writing fiction (*) online, so I have to ask: did I put it in the correct area fo the forums ?

(*) I wrote 3 published Living Greyhawk scenarios, but they don't count...

Well, the thing, Archiviste, is that here in Protector, it'll get purged after a few weeks of inactivity (i.e. no posting).

In the RP section, however, they've got stuff so old it was written by Anonymous.

Thanks for the answer, Sir Grey. It's OK for it to get purged, I have the original here.

If there is no posting, it means no-one thought it was worth commenting on... <shrug>

BTW - at my request, Ice9 is reposting his story "The Rise and Fall of a Hero" in the RP section.

It is an extremely powerful story and I recommend that all of you run (don't walk) over there to read it.

Already linked it, Sooner

Also, I just added a new chapter to the Hand of Merulina arc in Grey's Army. The archaeology team is finding that the temple is dedicated to the slumbering submerged goddess of the Coralax, and that, for some strange reason, there are warnings from all sorts of civilizations etched into the ancient walls of the structure (even civilizations that didn't have their own written language). In the meantime, Doctor Delilah Stein is given information indicating that the two islands really are linked, and that there may be a third temple submerged between the islands. But how did this bizarre ancient civilization build a temple under the ocean?

Later that night, Statesman and Lord Recluse have bizarre nightmares of something immense and terrible looking down on them. Neither being rookies to the concept of "Doom Portents" they make ready to travel to the source of the disturbance... Which happens to be the same submerged temple the Longbow and Arachnos forces are struggling to excavate before their opposing faction.

This segment tallies in at almost 4,000 words. Wow.

Chapter 3 of Shift is up, and I think it's pretty clear now that we aren't in Kansas anymore.

This is a pic titled Catch Me! that one of my friends did as a favor to me. Merry (really late) Christmas, Charlie!

...And now I've started posting my second story, The Broken Thorn, over in the RP section.

Added another chapter to Grey's Army and the Hand of Merulina arc... I've got to get through this quick because I need to have the place cleared for the next portion I have in mind which is supposed to happen next month.

The two groups have reached an unusual blockade and have no idea how to get through. Barracuda has a good idea on what is needed, but she's busy with something else at the moment... Something else that is seriously aggravating to Captain Mako, but possibly humorous to others.

Lake effect snow dashed my plans for the day against the rocks, so I decided to add another chapter to Grey's Army. Recluse arrives on the Circle's Isle only to hole himself up in one of their huts and wait for disaster. Statesman essentially does the same on Mauthe's, though he brings a larger support group to help with the research. Meanwhile the two teams struggle to figure out how to bypass the central temple's doors and trouble's brewing inside the submerged temple itself!

The Redeemers

I added the latest segment in the Scoop to the thread, with some alterations. I made the alterations here because I'm kind of restricted to an around 1,000 word limit (I go over it, regularly, but I can't do it by too much).
