oh crap, i'm coming up on a thousand pageviews... of course most of them are probably my own, unless DA goes by unique IP addresses....
suggestions on something I should do to commemorate that? a small badge or banner, perhaps?

Actually... it does. Which is a shame.... I'm a compulsive 'refresh' addict on forums and blogspaces... so I'm thinking my count is a bit inflated.
Seems to me that one could disable the code used to increment the page count, if the page owner matched the person 'signed in'.

It does. I pulled a page refresh and saw my counter increment by one.
Granted I am on the work computer, maybe they track by the system that signed up for the account, I o no....

It does. I especially notice it when I first go to DA and log in. Occassionally a refresh will add one, especially if you've changed locations and gone back (like gone to look at someone else's DA page, hit the back button, and refresh), but not all the time. The page view count is rather irregular, I think.
I mean, it's been barely 20 days for me, and I've already broken the 500 point.

Yeah. If you check your stats, you'll see a great difference between how often your page has been viewed with the number of times the deviations have been viewed.
Pageviews: 521
Deviant views: 411
I know for myself, when I visit a site, I look at least at some of the artwork there.

Yeah I know theres different counts for the two and I do the same but like I was saying I tried to make my count go up for ten minutes going back and forth and logging in and out but it only went up by one in that time because I had one visitor.
I'm talking about pageviews here.

Or the fact that I can be using any one of three computers (two sometimes almost at the same time since one is in the studio and the other in the living room). Both of those run firefox, work has InfectedExplorer.

IE scares me since the one forum I frequent the most and trust more than anywhere else got hacked by some loser. They loaded some crap on the board and me and a couple of others had to wipe out our computers to destroy the stuff (Adware, Spyware, several virus scanners, and a reg-clean later that is).
Since then, I will not use IE on my home computer.

It depends if you are logged in or not. If you are logged in, it doesn't count your views. Your page views or deviant views.
There was a glitch a couple of months ago and it started counting my views. That only lasted a week until they fixed it.
