ok to center text just type <.div align="center".> without the "."


the to end the line for center type <./div> again without the "."


Now I ran into the problem of wanting it to go back to left after I was in center mode and found out that to do that ya type <.div align="left".> without the "." and same <./div> to close



Just remember to put those at the beginning of whatever ya want centered or to the left and your golden!


Hope that helps and don't forget to remove the "." from those!

I know this is kind of of topic but hhow do you select a picture to be put on your profile page, not quite sure what you call it...It's the one thats above your gallery and the deviantart icon with the heart right next to the title. Or do you have to be a subscriber to do it at all?

for the Deviant ID just make sure you select "deviant related - DeviantID" when you're posting a piece and then go into your profile and it will be in the list

Ok, time for some deviantart n00b questions. What is a deviantID, what is it for and how is it used? And what's with all the "stamp" I see all over the place? Again, what are they for? Seems like the answer to both should be obvious, but I feel like I'm missing something.

Deviant ID (subscriber feature) is just where you can put a picture of yourself, or whatever, and list some stats or whatever about your self. If you want. :P

The 'stamps' are simply deviations that people link to using the :thumb######: code in their journal entries. They're just like little mini images that show support for whatever.

The deviant ID can be any picture you have in your gallery. When you are submitting a deviation, simply click on the appropriate description and it will be available as your deviant ID. Same with desktop screenshots. Click on someone elses to see how they categorized it, that will help too.

If you want just that 'Friends' section, you have to subscribe. Or, you can paste icons into a journal entry and kinda do it that way as well.

Man I am so jealous of this stuff... I'm reading as I go through... questions:

Does a background image like the one Rowr used have to be a specific size? Or do you just position a section of a full image to be used in a narrow way?

I did modify the background image a little bit, resizing to 800 pixels, so that way it would look good when seen on both my my DA page, and when someone clicks on the 'comments' page and gets a 'wider' journal. http://naraka.net/Rowr-TwlightSinger-800-BW.jpg

Well Okay so it doesn't look that great when looking at the 'wider' journal. It's really annoying. BUT you can use an image that IS that wide, but the 'interesting part' is in the center of it, and you just extend the background a bit. Am I making any sense? Let me get some coffee. :P

I tried using CSS on my DA but gave up. I've seen some GREAT journals, but I can't get it to work right. I know CSS like the back of my hand, but can't seem to apply it to DA

Do a search for CSS tutorials and they can really help you out. Even provide you templates you can stick in and modify to your own desire. Or if you want I can even send you mine :P
